Default DHL Seizure - Cincinnati

Monday, June 11, 2012

$5.4M in knockoffs seized at Cincinnati airport

CINCINNATI (AP) — Customs officials looking for counterfeit goods at the Cincinnati airport say they seized more than $5.4 million in knockoffs during a crackdown last week.

The Cincinnati Enquirer reports officials seized 289 shipments with 27,000 items at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport. They found a few high-end items, but it was mostly lower-cost items such as purses, watches and hats.

The newspaper says the results of the crackdown reflect a national trend. The number of seizures has increased, but the knockoffs tend to be cheaper.
A spokesman for U.S. Customs and Border Protection says the agency was a bit surprised by the findings in Cincinnati and is considering how to address the problem. One option could be adding inspectors to more carefully examine imports.

Pointless tread. Reason for major seizure is 1. Close to 9/11 anniversary, 2. Upcoming Holiday season. 3. Random, which tends to be before main events. So what did we learn today.....Dont post false info, dont sell ⊗⊗⊗⊗ and if you do be smart how and when you buy them and more importantly how to sell them, 3. buy your inventory wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy before the holiday season.

I actually find DHL express pretty damn good. I get parcels from the USA in about 3 days & that includes paying for customs on top of it.

There tend to only be problems, if you are importing the wrong thing
And that is NOT DHL's fault.
Just following the rules of the law

Retraction to my post - not sure where in the hell I cut and pasted that from but it did have yesterday's date on it originally. However when I searched for the article again I found it dated September 29, 2011 just as Amazon Stealth mentioned.

Sorry for the unintentional misinformation.
