Default Odd Question About How Paypal Treats Big Payments on New Accounts

This is my third paypal account, which I have had for about one year.

I get a lot of payments for electronics, powertools, home and garden, etc.

And one thing I noticed is that every single payment over $350 seems to be "unconfirmed".

What is so weird about it is I get lots of payments and so far every single payment that was large was "unconfirmed".

However, on my paypal account that is about 12 years old, I never see such things much. Its pretty much random confirmed and unconfirmed.

SO, what I am wondering is if Paypal is actually just claiming on some bigger payments that the customer is "unconfirmed" to avoid liability on newer paypal accounts.

Sort of conspiratorial, but the fact is, it appears to be the case. Out of about 20+ big payments, not one confirmed yet.

what you mean is the person who send the payment is unconfirmed, am I right?

if that is the case, you don't have to worry about it, as long as you ship to the confirmed address on paypal + signature confirmation , you will be protected by the seller protection program

Next time you make a sale, ship usps signature confirmation, upload the trk# to paypal, wait 3 days for the delivery..if they dont release the money automatically, call them, almost sure they will release the funds after the call

Sometimes if you are persistent, you can get a complete n00b to release all of your payments just after adding a tracking number. They don't even have to be delivered yet. It has happened to many numerous times. My best one yet was last year, some n00b released $3k for me just because I added tracking numbers . It felt awesome, haha.

Another thing I noticed..

Sort of funny.. I had a 12 year old paypal account with like 60,000 transactions on it (my original paypal that I saved from my dead Ebay, thanks to Aspkins direct help).

At any rate, I noticed that whenever I got a payment that went into "payment review" where paypal is making sure the person is good, it ALWAYS came out with NO protection on this 12 year old account.

Fast forward a bit. I use another Paypal account, which is like 1 year old, totally dormant until about a month or two ago.

I get a few payments that go into the "payment review" to check on the customer.

The funny part is that they would come out with protection EVERY time.

So, the 12 year old account, with no disputes gets NO protection and the basically brand new account with virtually no history gets ALL the protection.

Shows you how Paypal just does not give a history about sellers who have worked their ass off for them.
