Default Linking a different paypal account to a ebay seller account

Hello. I was wondering is it alright to link a different paypal account to an eBay account. Both of the accounts are under different individuals. However, everything is legit and my old paypal account has not been suspended, I just want to link my ebay account to a different paypal account (different individual) for IRS issues and was wondering if I could without getting suspended. The accounts are all based on US. It will be a great help if anyone has any information on this.

No it is not recommended, sensible or practical .

Suspension will be the end result & therefore a waste of your account.

Thank you for the information. These accounts are not stealth and they are legit and both of the users are in the same household and therefore I thought Paypal nor eBay would mind if I just made a switch between paypal accounts and not lose my top rated seller account on ebay. Just to make sure once more, even if they are NOT stealth accounts, it is still prohibited and I will lose both of the accounts? Thank you once more for all the information, I appreciate your help.

I have my real PP that was never limited and is SSN verified. Couldn't I just make another account since I moved and tweak some details?

@drebintech38, It's always best to have 1 Ebay Account to 1 Paypal account that Match from the beginning. Tweaking existing Paypal account to match an Ebay account is not recommended.

But starting an Ebay account to match the Paypal account may work - think laterally

Answer me these questions.

What was the life of that old PP?

What did it do as a functioning pp?

Did it share a life with a departed ebay account

Your PayPal account will be limited with 100% guarantee.
I could keep my eBay account but two PayPal accounts has been limited with 300 Euros on each one.

Life of old PP is around 10+ yrs and was linked to suspended Eb acct.

Sadly it will not work with ebay again.

Yes it can be used for off ebay transactions. But on ebay it lasts but a short time & the new account is suspended.

I have tried this with this result.

You change everything and from your side it shows changed.

However on the paypal/ebay side the old info is there.....

Like I said, I tried this..... had paypal staffer tell me I 'just changed' the email but the account was still tied

I am still trying to think which option is the best. All I have to do is to change the first name on the ebay account and link it to another paypal account and everything will match. The only issue here is that would ebay mind if I change the first name, even though the option is given to me in the settings. I hate losing ebay accounts that have very minor monthly limits and that are top rated accounts. By the end of the week I have to make one of the choices, link them or create a different eBay account and start from scratch.

No that isn't 'all I have to do' at all. Read the whole thread - you can change whatever you like but as far as they are concerned everything previous is still there.

Read what the posters are saying

The best option would be a NEW EB/PP A/C.

What you are contemplating is highly inadvisable & will risk the loss of the EB/PP A/C in question as every other poster on this thread has advised.

I see a lot of troubles ahead here

Hi, I read the stealth guide and am not sure why the OP would have problems, if the EBay account and both Paypal accounts are all legit and in good standing. I understand of course that if any of these accounts are tainted or previously linked to tainted accounts, it will all go bad.

Another question- what if in your listings you use a different paypal account for payment? (in the listing page you can enter/change the paypal email address the buyer will use for payment.)

If these are all problematic actions (again with legitimate Paypal/EBay accounts), then I guess I am wondering why EBay even allows you to make these sorts of changes.

Thanks
