Hey there,

First time here.Nice site with plenty of useful info.I'm hoping somebody can give me some advice on this.

I'm moving in september from Holland to Thailand where I'll be working with my wife's brothers producing and selling stuff on ebay.They've already been doing this for a while but only selling within Thailand and they want me to sell internationally and this is where I need some advice.

I'll be closing all bank accounts in Holland before I leave so would it be easier for me to just start from scratch like new ebay account/paypal account cause from what I've read on this site alone,ebay can be pretty difficult when it comes to using your account in another country or just changing address ?.

I would leave your NL bank accounts open.

Have you a current ebay account in the Netherlands?

Thanks for the quick reply GreenBean.Everything that I have set up is with a Netherlands address.What would be the benefit of leaving my dutch bank account open ?

NEVER close an Ebay or PP account unless you really need to. NL accounts are better for selling in Euroland than accounts in Thailand. As GB says there are working options but care needs to be taken.

I know operating an account from outside the country it is based in can be fraught with problems but they can be solved.

I suggest you do very little before reading a lot of posts and getting some advise from some of the more experienced cross border stealthers.

GB is a 1st class starting place
