Default Does It Get Linked?

heyy, i just wanted to know, that when i create a listing and just put credit cards as a payment method, but when the listing ends and i send a invoice to the winner, theres a place were you can put your paypal account to recieve as a form of payment, if i put my old paypal account in which it was used with another account that got suspended, will it link to my account?

Yes it will get linked.

Another reason you don't want paypal is because they hold your payments for 21 days.

I wouldn't recommend it. With all the talk and professional opinions in this forum, I haven't seen any one of them advise it--quite the opposite. To me, it's still a new ebay account..with an already used paypal account.

I am going to begin making these back up accounts for myself at Ebayhateluv's advice for everyone to start doing now. I can tell you I have an 8 yr. old ebay account--no problems ever and and 8 yr. old pp acct--no problems ever either except for a limitation it underwent in Feb.---that was due to sudden high $$$ and high volume sales though. Easily unlimited it. I'm not even going to mess with it. When I create these new accounts, I am definately not attaching a used pp acct. to it. I am going to follow the directions here...each ebay acct. has it's own pp acct. I wouldn't ever recycle a paypal acct to a new eb. acct.

yea, i guess your right, but accepting paypal is alot easier and making a new paypal account and getting it verified... etc. is time consuming and you have to watch out for so many things, if they catch a mistake on your paypal account, there goes your paypal account and ebay account along with it.

Yeah you'll get linked, if you wouldn't, we would all be doing this...basically thats the point of making a new PP, cause the old one is useless with ebay..

From what I have read on this board. All it will take is one buyer to go to paypal and click send money and put the ebay item number in there and you'll get linked.

Somebody please correct me if this is wrong.

because people get frightened when a seller doesnt accept a paypal as a form of payment.

Correct, this is One of Many ways you can become linked.

In order to use Paypal with eBay, it has to be a brand new Paypal account with new banking, credit card, and new name and address. Also recommended is to get your account verified and confirmed before doing any Major selling with it. That's the only way, but then you have the SS# issue. Which can be hard to get passed.

Not only that, but now and especially for new users, you need to offer PayPal as payment method in order to sell.

So basically, get ccnow or some other form of merchant account up and running.

Alternatively, give them a wrong paypal payment address. Then tell your buyers I made a mistake, I entered a wrong e-mail address. Blah blah.. I'm about to try that tactic.

Just don't get limited. If you're confirmed and verified and don't sale a lot you won't have an issue. Maybe I'm just lucky, but I have yet to be limited with my latest 6mo old account. I've sent a good amount of money through it without an issue.

A small amount of money nearly always depends on how paypal 'see' your account.
It is going to depend on the items, the catergory and if the paypal computer got
screwed..... no it is us that are getting screwed.
There is not a real hard and fast rule for being limited, I think. Just be aware of the chance.
