Default Paypal verification and Paypal account name

I am going to be selling some stuff on eBay and I need to make a Paypal. I have read stories about Paypal siding with wrong buyers, Paypal accounts hacked, other security issues, etc. Not liking what I have heard, but everyone uses it on eBay so I have no choice.

What is the best way to get verification? Use a prepaid card or my real bank account? I don't know if I like using my real bank incase Paypal got hacked someone could steal my money and get personal information. But then how would I transfer funds if I used a prepaid card?

Should my Paypal account name be something like asdf123 or my realname@paypal.com ?

any advice you can give me with Paypal before I sign up would be great.

Use your real bank account. If you have any idea how banks work you know that if Paypal gets hacked (which they probably won't because they handle money and have to be on top of that stuff) then your bank accounts will still be safe.

For stealth purposes, people tend to use a prepaid card. I just use the debit card I get from my bank for opening a checking account.

I have no reason to be 'stealth.' I only have 1 old eBay account and I never had any problems because I have never sold/bought.

What about the Paypal account name? I don't like revealing my personal information if possible.

If you're not going stealth then don't make up a name. If you're going stealth then you make up a name. It doesn't make sense to mix things up.

I am reading another eBay forum a long with this one and I have read some bad stuff. A buyer harassing the seller over an item, etc. I don't know if I want a nutcase to have my real name from Paypal.

If you're so afraid of buyers then maybe you shouldn't be selling in the first place. It's unrealistic to think you can sell and never have to deal with buyers.

I gave you advice. You're rejecting it because you're afraid.
