Default Cash out on Paypal

Since I have never used Paypal I have a question.

If I hook up my real bank account to Paypal can I immediately deposit the payment into my bank account? Or as a new member do I have to wait a grace period?

I might take a chance and sell a "virtual" good. With that type of item I know there is no protection if the buyer says they never received it.

Why are you asking questions about Paypal if you've never used it, let alone even read about how it works?

You cannot send or withdraw money after you create a Paypal account until you have verified a credit card (raises sending limits to $2000) and a bank account (to withdraw funds).

You really haven't read around have you? If you sell "virtual" goods, your account will die.

There was 1 thing I wanted to give a shot since I could use the cash. I was thinking to take pictures with my phone if they filed a claim.

Selling virtual is not allowed.

Not knowing you most likely will get 21 day holds on your funds tells me you are not reading the forum at all.

It will take you time to create, verify etc a pp account to even get money to it.
Then the 21 day holds will hit you.

It wont happen overnight.

@Marlo, It's up to you but heed the advice. No one ever last with virtual goods. The last thing you need is a limited account. Think of the work you put in to make them...unless you have a ton of accounts your willing to go through.

Take our advice my friend, you won't regret it.

yeah your right. probably not a good way to start a fresh Paypal under my real name.

I was just hoping for a chance at quick cash. Wasn't going to do it through eBay, but regardless I won't do it.

I did read the stickies in the main forum.

thanks!

No more quick cash with ebay when you start out.

That quick cash comes with lots of work and time building stellar accounts.

What are YOU really doing?

First it's an expensive item

Now digital items

Starting to look fishy & that's not fair to users trying to help you.

sorry GreenBean. The digital item was just a spur of the moment thing that popped in my head. Was thinking I could make some quick money, but I know if I get scammed I would probably lose the Paypal I am going to spend all this time setting up.

I am trying to sell a stereo system to this guy for $100. I calculated the eBay and Paypal fees and I would make $75. The shipping is about $126 dollars. I told him he has to pay and he says that is fine, but his friend is going to buy the item with his eBay... I am waiting to see his friends eBay account before I make a move.

Other thing I am going to try and sell is some clothes that are new and some used.

I don't really have much stuff or anything worth much. Just trying to learn eBay for the future and get my feet wet.
