She LIKES geting smacked? Wow. I never heard that one before.
I never got hit by my parents luckily... my father let me get away with murder but my mother would just give me a look with her eyes that would just scare the crap out of me, and I could tell that she would have beaten me to within an inch of my life had I continued doing whatever it was. That in itself was enough. She would do it even if I tried to take a sweet from somebod for example (even shopkeepers and friends of hers) if they offered me one... and I would stop right in my tracks, in my attempt to take it and eat it.
