how much is too much?
a cousin of mine has a paypal account in good standing for 3 months, and he uses it here and there to make $200-$300 purchases. hes bought about $5000 worth of stuff over the last month and everything has gone fine. hes even received a payment of $2500 last month and that was fine too. no limitations whatso ever and everything is confirmed and verified including bank and CC info.
he doesnt use it anymore so might give it to me. my question is if i start selling, and lets say i get a payment in of $5000 on 1 single item i want to sell (babe ruth rookie card), will paypal instantly limit my account due to seeing that high dollar amount being paid, or will they just let it thru since that account has been good for 3 months with no problems?
is there a certain amount that paypal sees when they decide to freeze an account until the item clears delivery? like $5000 or $10000? and does it matter if payment is funded with a bank account echeck instead of a credit card (maybe there is more leniency with a bank funded payment than a credit card)?
