Default $750 velocity limit

How exactly is this calculated? Does it reset at the beginning of the calendar month? Is it based on the day you open your account or is it based on the date of your first sale?

For example, I open account on july 15th and sell 750 by the 28th, does it reset August 1st?

I open account on july 15th, sell 750 right away, do I have to wait until August 15th?

I open account on July 15th, first sale is July 25th and I sell 750 right away, do I have to wait until August 25th?

It normally resets on the first of the month. But if you opened an account on the 25th and tried to blow through $750 by the first that would most likely get the account banned right there. The key to Amazon is slow and steady.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe the amazon velocity limit, which is a soft number based on the risk of what you are selling as much as anything, is calculated using a 28 day rolling calendar - in other words, try not to hit $750 in any block of 28 days...

There is no such thing on this imaginary limit. It all depends on your products and the category you are selling in.

I think there's a lot to be said for that theory, Amazonstealth! I sell books, which are low risk, and after 3 months of CAREFUL selling, my first account is up to $1,500 a month, no problems yet. I think there's a method to the madness that factors in: Risk of items sold, length of account, feedback, acceleration of earnings, etc., making it all so "scientific" that it is actually - artistic, if you will. It takes feel, which takes common sense and practice, like any art.

There is no velocity limit ( in reality) anymore. It is up to amazon how you stand some accounts can go over 750.00 some accounts only 300.00 just depends on them. They use the term in their guidelines. Hell years ago I had a new account and my velocity limit was 28,000. That was on a new account. today it is in the hundreds for a new account . so it is not set in stone

Yeah, seems to be no velocity limit. My first 20 days, we're at $1700, no review process. 10% feedback ratio, no risk items, mostly fba.
