Default PayPal permanently limited

Hello all

25th July, I receive an email from PayPal saying that my account had limited because it's linked to an old account of mine that had been compromised last year and it has a negative balance. The same day, I send emails to ppelce@paypal.com explaining what happened and I allowed them to take money from my account into the account with a negative balance.

27th July, I get a reply saying stating that £50.90 had been transferred.
Dear xxxxx xxxxx,

Thank you for contacting PayPal.

As per your request i have now processed your payment, details as below.

Payment Amount :£50.90

Balance transfer completed from account xxxx@xxxxx.com to resolve negative balance on account xxxxxxx@xxxxxcom

You will receive a confirmation receipt via email as soon as the payment clears your acccount.

If you have any queries please do not hesitate to contact our Collections team on 0208 6100 150

Thank you for choosing PayPal.

Yours sincerely,

PayPal

My account was restored.

Today, I get email from ppelce@paypal.com. ''We regret to inform you that we’re initiating the closure of your PayPal account because of certain activity that took place relating to your account. This measure is necessary to protect us from potential financial losses.''

From service@paypal.co.uk, I got

We recently noticed an issue with your account.

What's the problem?

We've had to place a limit on your PayPal account because it shares at
least one piece of information with a PayPal account that has unresolved
issues. Please resolve the issues within 14 days. If the issues aren't
resolved, we might be forced to further limit your account which could
affect your ability to send and withdraw money.

I've already resolved the negative balance. Is this a problem on PayPals side? It said I can appeal if I think there is an error

I initially sent 2 emails to ppelce@paypal.com because I thought it didn't send but the stuff I wrote was the same.

Is there any way to get my PayPal back to normal?

Hi there, was your account linked to the other account they mentioned?

What happened to that first account?

If it was a suspended account, paypal will toy with you, make you jump through hoops, send us this, send us that, etc etc etc , then they will suspend the new account too.

If it is not your account, and you do not have access to it ( you said something about resolving it , so you accessed it? so they know it is yours? then you are ****ed)

If that is not the case, then you could save it, unlikely from what you have written and if i have got what you said right.

Oh just re-read, this account is gone, good luck trying to get that back, they toyed with you already, got there money and then cut you off. Better cut them off and those two accounts off, move on.

its about 80/20 but if you give up now then you have lost it 100%

i have pulled accounts back like this, chances are you owe money on another account, the problem is that you have no clue as to sucess or not until you have paid what you owe, so its a gamble.

Just forget about the paypal account, if it was ebay and was linked to a negative balance, it would be different, i have had like 3 Ebay accounts that were legit with family members who owed money and linked me with an ip address back in the day (7 years ago) and 1 from 1 year ago,

After i paid the balance, Within 5 minutes I was up and running.. but PayPal is a different game.

You need to look at it as if it was your company and someone owed you 100.00. If you knew you didn't want them as a seller or part of your company, you wouldn't tell them upfront, because we both know, you would never get paid,, so they do trickery and make you believe that "hey just pay us the money and you are good to go ."

Then after you pay, you can really see whats on their mind.. lol

I sent emails to some PayPal email addresses and I've gotten 2 replies so far stating that my account is being reviewed and I will get an email saying what the outcome is.

Hopefully my account gets reinstated or I can withdraw my money in the 30/45 days.

£990 is a lot for any kid :(
