Free grant money real or no?

I was seeing on tv that if I buy this book or cd it will tell me about how to get free grant money from the government. Is this real or no? Can somebody share their input?

I was looking at before and ...yes it`s possible but there are some b.s. to sift through. Takes some work on your part - also a lot of the info can be searched for free.

Keep in mind that the grants are always conditional. The amount of work to make yourself eligible may not worth the trade off in the end.
