Default Please help... potential scam

Hi,

I bought some wheels for my car for $900 through a forum.

I paid with paypal funded by credit card.

First, the seller said he would ship this wednesday. Now he wants to ship it next week.

I have a feeling he's going to run with my money.

What can I do to protect myself? He already transferred the money to his bank account, but it had not been cleared yet

Can I go open a "item not received" with paypal now, so they could reverse the transfer and put a hold on the money?

thank you very much

If I wait, the guy turn out to be scammed, can get 200 from paypal? and then call my credit card to get back the rest?

I am feeling very unsafe. I have been burned before.

Just call your credit card and do a credit reverse thingy, forgot whats it called. Then his paypal account will be screwed and paypal will ask him for the missing money.

Ring up your credit card company, and ask them to file a chargeback.

He said he would ship by Friday.

Can I give him a few more days?

If I call my credit card company then, can I get my money back?

Default Anyone else guess these are EBAY tests?

Geesh.

They are trying to make you think with this overly stupid crap.

I would bet most of these new user posts that never come back or come back once and disappear are EBAY folks having some kind of fun.

They don't see the damage they do on good people. They would rather make those people understand why it is somehow justified or funny.

I will tell you what. Give the guy a break. Maybe it will take a week. Give him some time. You have 30 days to file a complaint.

And you would have no freakin' idea if he transfered your money to a bank account.

So, you are full of a low quality meat or excrement. Your choice.

thanks for all the advice.

I filed "INR" with paypal. However his account is showing neg balance. The money made to his bank account.

If paypal can't get my money back, I will chargeback with credit card then.

You have a chance for two goes to get those funds back: I would go for chargeback.

Cool Money made it to his bank account...

like you would know? LOL.

With the way Paypal is limiting accounts lately, there is no way this guy did what you said unless it was on an established account.

And pray tell. Answer the first question. Paypal doesn't tell YOU the guy did a bank transfer or what his balance is.

I think this is all made up.

I'm with Stupid........no pun intended.

But this person comes back asking the same darn thing on what to do, you all keep telling telling him what he/she needs to do and YET he keeps asking the same thing.

I think this person is not telling the whole truth and how would they know they seller transferred the funds from their PP account into their cehcking account?

I never knew you could tell when a Seller transfers his money to his acct?
Secondly-He cant transfer it-if it hasnt cleared your bank??
--Did you fund with a cc or it appears with a bank acct??
You got over 30 dys for a chargeback--maybe its a special order item?
