Default 256 MB of RAM on this VPS enough to use PayPal & eBay?

This Windows VPS I'm looking at has 256 MB of RAM. Is this ok if all I'm going to be doing is my eBay & PayPal business on it? I'd connect to it from my Mac through Remote Desktop Connection. I believe the OS on the VPS is Windows 2003.

I reckon it will be fine. A little web surfing wont use much.

Ok thanks.

So what about 1.5 GB of RAM? I know you just said yes to 256 MB, however on the VPS with 1.5 GB of RAM, I'd have 7-8 different users (one for each Stealth account)..Do you think the fact that I have 7-8 users would affect the RAM much?

Oh you want to run multiple user accounts, then perhaps more RAM is better, perhaps someone more tech can answer.

How do you intend to run multiple ebay accounts on a VPS?, the IP will be the same, even if you have extra IPs, they are generally very similar thus you are very likely to be linked.

IE

1.22.333.44
1.22.333.45

Etc

People here have said that 1 digit differences won't link you.

Can anyone else confirm this? Or is it risky...

BTW, I was talking to the provider of the VPS and they said that I could assign an IP per Windows user. I asked them if that was possible and they told me it definitely should be. There was even instructions they showed me online, on how to do it

Ok that's interesting.

Don't know what others have said, but if they have an incling that two or more accounts might be linked, then IP address will be one of the first things they check I would imagine.

I am currently using Strongvpn, it gives a bigger range of IP addresses, but I imagine these are more likely to be recycled than VPS.

No problems with Strongvpn so far

What's the point of people saying anything to you because you dont pay attention?

Running seven to ten accounts on your proposed system is flaky.

You are exposing yourself to the chances of being linked.

Whoever your provider is appears to only want to take money. From your posts, their service is appalling.

Having 10 accounts on a limited range of IP is riskville.

I base that on five years of running multiple accounts, & knowing what happens when the devil & ebay decide to gun for an account. They simply kill the account

There! A reply

I think you can running in your own pc a virtual server like vmware or virtualbox or any other and take only little vps runing some VPN stuff like openvpn just to have a Static IP from this vps and have more ram using you own hardware and pay less because windows vps with 1gb of ram are too expensive like $20 bucks +/- per month and one little vps you can pay just $20 per year to have this Static IP and can make some more virtual pc each one linked with one account and to different vps/class of ip.

Hope this help someone.
