Freedigits doesn't give you a local area code though. I just signed up and I'm in Cali and I got an area code for Iowa. Isn't this going to cause a problem with eBay?? Any input please let me know before I register a new account.

AIM, is still a Good Choice, you get to pick your own number./area, its 14.95/month.
As for free digits--

I live in the Portland area and use Laservoice (I think that's their name?).....not a single problem with that in two years......using a 206 area code in a 503 area. I don't think the turkeys at eBay are on top of this issue yet.

is an 800 number good to use or will ebay and pp limit the account for that.
