Default Has anyone here been suspended for buying a physical item for a penny?

I'm curious because I see these posted on ebay with free shipping, although I'm not sure how the seller is able to fullfull his end of the deal. Most idiot buyers will assume that they got the bargain of the century not that they are supposed to exchange feedback.

Wink Not likely

No way. Because of this forum I changed a lot of how I use ebay/paypal. Where I had got .99 items which I wanted (wallpaper etc), I now purchase in a higher price range. Makes matters slower but ..... I enjoy those emails 'congratulations your fb is now.... you are on the way to becoming a valued......' {puke puke}

balzac Yes, it happened to me. About 8 months ago when I was still "an innocent" I tried upping the FB on a good account with $1 purchases. Within 3 days they kicked me off.

It depends...if you are using the account to buy they are lenient. But if you buy 10 one cent auctions and then list a $1000 laptop... gone.

I hadn't gotten round to selling on that account - just 20-30 $1 items.

That's ridiculous. How many items did you purchase?

Like I said in many other threads, its volume that eBay looks at. If you're buying penny auctions, items cheaper then a dollar and you buy them in volume; it's easy to see what you're doing and you will get suspended. It's okay to buy one or two items every once in awhile, but 10-20 will get you suspended fast.
