Default Does ebay only suspend accounts on evaluation period?. Called ebay sccrewed up X: ...

I called ebay to ask about what I would have to do to have my selling limits risen. They imminently asked me to confirm my birth date. I didn't remember the day so I just said November 1953... then I hung up.. Should of had my stealth info in front of me sigh...

So my question is if I wa banned for this would I banned immediately or would it only happen on next evaluation?. thanks

Tell me something.

When are you going to LEARN to use your account correctly.

You stuffed your Dad's info.

You stuffed the next attempt for ID because of not having everything in order.

Now you go back and try to get things done when you have no info to help you?

There's a remote chance ebay might have thought the call was disconnected.

There's a remote chance the staffer you spoke to did not care to do anything.

The axe may fall. It may not. Accounts can be suspended at any time & usually when you least expect suspension.

Take the chance to learn to stop damaging your ebay accounts.

Read the forum where far more experienced users than you say make NO CONTACT with ebay because of the potential for harm.

Read the forum where it is recommended to earn increased limits rather than calling & risking grief.

Until you are 1000% sure of your ebay info, never speak to them. EVER

Thanks for the response Greenbean your awesome man.

Well sense I called them It all has been good so far. The verify you identity thing was waived when I called for the third time. It just really depends who you get on the phone i guess. Also when I did call them about the limit thing I just wanted to talk to them. I didn't expect them to drill me without my permission. However sense I did answer the question correctly before I hung up I'm sure that created enough trust for them not to ban me.

Only issue I had was with the lady I called who lifted my confirm identity thing. She told me All users must call in to have there limits risen and unless they do the limits can only be lifted by 2% at a time.... Gues she had no idea what she was talking about.. Probably why she voided the confirm identity prompt I was getting. Good luck and go figure.

Btw had a question Is there any truth to this 2% thing she was talking about?. Thanks

Well I know the 2% increase hasn't applied to any of my accounts and I never call.

2%? She was pulling that number out of her a$$ - they can make up stuff sometimes.

Anyhow, be careful how you operate from now on.
