Do Banks get antsy?

If you open a lot of savings accounts, and shut them down fairly regularly due to eBay/Paypal, do banks ever get inquisitive?

Note, its a generic question - the bank doesnt have to know why you shut down the account, Im just wondering if they ever cause trouble for you. Espcially interested with any experiences with the Big Banks in Canada...

My bank manager (here in Japan) asked me why I was opening a new account every 2 days. I told him the eBay/PayPal story and now there's no problem. He has the forms ready when I walk in :D

i have about 5-6 Accs, some that have been reopened in a matter of weeks at the same bank, no problems.

although i dont know what the Tax office thinks.
