Default as a new seller, u have to accept paypal?

I was reading on the ebay message boards that if u are a new seller u HAVE to accept paypal. Tried asking EBAY about this but no response. Anybody know for sure?

yeppers

They will only allow paypal for new sellers you can take money orders and checks but paypal must be checked when using the sellingform

Yes this is true, for the UK anyway. In the UK you will have to accept paypal, regardless of whether you are a new seller or not.

In aust, all new sellers must list paypal as a payment option, pre 11/07 accs dont have to accept paypal, may21st all australian ebay users must only accp paypal or COD

Sellers who opened up their accounts a few years back don't have to accept Paypal as payment. I have spotted a few who are not doing so and they are still selling.

My account I'm using was open since 04 (i think?), and I have to accept paypal in popular categories.
