Default payment from Paypal to bank account "pending" for a long time

hi guys,

Usually when I make a withdrawel from Paypal to my bank account the status goes from "pending" to complete within an hour or so.

Now I had some issues with a buyer yesterday which I have now fully resolved.

I tried to make a withdrawel at 8 pm last night and at 10 am this morning is is still showing as "pending"

So the status has not changed for a full 14 hours.

I am concerned that a possible limitation is forthcoming, although all I am guilty of is selling quite a few items and I know they deem this "suspicious" as this is always what nails me (RXI111)

What do you think? Am I concerned over nothing? or is the delay of seeing "pending" change to complete a sign or possible limitation to come?

Thanks!

For me every time I withdraw, the status shows pending for 24 hrs, I don't think I've ever seen it show complete less than that, maybe the amount you withdrew passed a mark that needs more time to complete, like all of my withdrawals.

Mine always takes 24hrs to complete.

However, I have been having issues with it taking forever to actually see the transfer deposit in my account. I just made a transfer on Tuesday, it has been complete since Wednesday and I usually see it Thursday morning. Didnt see it yesterday and still no in there this morning.

Its actually completed now. I just had a case of the willies.

Flapping and expecting the dreaded RXI111 message for my "suspicious" selling.

IE selling too many items!

In the UK it takes 3-4 working days for the payment to appear in a bank account from when the PP status goes from "pending" to "completed"

This applies for the following:

HSBC, Natwest, Nationwide, First Direct, Lloyds, Barclays, Halifax, Abbey

Always there within 3-4 working days. However allow 1 extra working day if withdrawel made late in the day or if a bank holiday applies.

And that is a long, long time when you're broke and do this for a living. 5 days of sitting around at home with no money is not fun at all. Making a living on the internet can be pretty tuff if you let yourself run too low and gotta pay your rent with the money you needed to buy your stock, then buy the time you get enough money to buy more stock its time to pay your rent again, and the phone, utilities, cable and then you got the 21 day hold, ems shipping, it's enough to make someone want to jump off a cliff. A good rule of thumb is to keep a grand for every finger you own in reserve at least for one hand to start, 5 grand on hand.

@jbuntz. Sometimes there might not be enough money for gas. Nothing worse than waiting for funds.

Or even postage, just think you run out of gas and have to haul all your packages up to the post office on foot then you swipe your card and it doesn't clear so then you hike all the packages back home and find out it didn't clear because your rent check bounced, now your in the negative and getting evicted in 2 days, on top of that all your ebay accounts go down since you coudn't afford to ship them and your car gets towed then you go check your mail and find out you're getting sued for selling items you coudn't even afford to ship. What a bummer that would be.

Update: Just did another withdrawel from Paypal.

This one went from "pending" to "completed" in 29 minutes.

I wonder if there is any formula to the time it takes, or if a real person has to manually accept all payments.

I dont know but my last withdrawel took about 23 hours and this one took 29 minutes

Go figure

Default always takes 24 hours to transfer

in my experience transfer goes to completed in 24 hours.
just because it says completed does not mean its in my account. sometimes it has taken up to a day or 2 after to be in my account depending on if its weekend or not.
Another twist on that is that I had a buyer tell me that his payment to me says completed so he believed that I had the money. I explained to him that just because his payment says completed does not mean I got the money. Try explaining that to your buyers because paypal has them brainwashed. Paypal is very deceitful.I was on the phone with them today and its same stall tactics.

They can't do that as it is all automated... all that they can do for you is reverse the transfer and limit you if you ask them nicely enough.
