As a buyer its limited and exactly what I am looking for.
I hate reading sellers long descriptions on ebay | I have sold on both platforms and I can tell you I dont send 30 minutes making a listing even with adding a custom made picture. I send about 2-3 minutes per listing including the picture taking.
I have also bought things on both platforms, I like ebay better since you know from the pictures what you are getting. I only buy items from people who post more than 1 picture.
