Are the days of stealth officially at an end?
I just got off the phone with ebay after spending a large majority of the day dealing with them. I can say this definitively. If you call and reach the Philippines hang up the ******* phone immediately and call back. It really isnt hard to figure out, and if you have to, ask them if they are in Asia or U.S. They must outsource there for a reason, that reason being they are miserable cold hearted bast****. Immediately I was told to fax documents. When I finally reached a U.S. agent they just hit me with the 3 questions.
Now here is the big problem. 1. apparently there is a guy by the name I used in the town I used. I found that out during the call by using spokeo. Which by the way is sometimes a really great tool. So obviously even though it was a different address they were going off that guys info. And here is the major major concern. According to 2 representatives, all new sellers will now be required to identity verify. And one of the questions will always be what is the middle 2 digits of your SSN.
I know this could be a lie and actually they are only doing it for the holiday season. Of course while plastering ads about selling unwanted gifts everywhere. But do any of you think its possible? I know its a question of manpower... So is it possible?
