Default What Actually Works for IP's?

So i have heard SO MANY different methods.

All fail...

VPN- I heard it was good, yet not secure and easy detectable

VPS- I heard it was fast and safe, yet other people say this method does not work

TOR- Heard it works, heard it does not.

PROXYS- Heard free proxys do not work, heard paid private proxys work.

DONGLES- Heard they work completely, yet they are slow.

Tethering - Heard it works, yet you have to be signed up for that plan.

DHL- Heard it works, yet slow, Dynamic IP, reset your box each time you want a new IP.

Cable Internet- works with the one and only IP you get, Static IP that never changes.

CAN ANYONE CONFIRM WITH DETAILS ON A WORKING METHOD,

VPN works, but most eventually fail.

VPS is much safer, I have yet to hear of any problems. I know people who do over 1 Million per year using VPS.

Tethering works, so sign up for a plan with your Smartphone.

Dial Up works (NetZero/Juno), great for Paypal, but slow for Ebay/Amazon. <<< that's what I use but I don't Ebay.

I have Uverse for website surfing and downloading. Like you stated, IP don't change.

VPN: Never tried.
VPS: Never tried.
TOR: Unreliable.
DONGLE: Currently Using, Good speeds...depends on location.
TETHERING: Currently Using, Speeds depend on either wired tether or wifi tether.
DHL: Never used.
CABLE: Some what hard to get new IP.

So the verdict for me is DONGLE. Also DSL might be a way to go but the DONGLE allows for use with my Laptop.

I am currently using Uverse. If you ask customer support they can give you a string a static ips that you can use for eBay accounts.

Currently I have 8 ips that are usable, but I hear you can get as many as you need in blocks of 8.

I only have access to these ips through my laptop and the wireless computer as the desktop is firmly connected to Uverse and unable to change the ip.

NO. Uverse dedicates one IP per laptop, destop, iPad, etc... it sucks.

I am a uvers customer and requested from tech support with uverse for additional ips. They have given me additional ips that I currently have access to.

The standard customer only receives 1 ip but if you request for additional ips. If you have uverse you can call them and ask for "ATT Uverse Tech Support Static IP" I have the number for ip tech support but not sure if I can list it here in the forum.

This is service that is not known by many people but is available to all uverse customers.

yes, I can manually switch to 1 of the 8 ips on my laptop through the wireless system they set up for me. It is the same process shown in the eBay Stealth Book that aspkin wrote.

The main question is what do you want to do to access the internet as a stealth ebay seller?

How many accounts will you run and do you have budget constraints?

A working method would simply be one that allows you ease of use, with good speeds. Preference would be an ISP that might offer phone add ons & might offer 24/7 customer support.
Maybe share your thoughts on this?

Tethering is the best method I've used so far. Definitely worth the money it cost per month. It's a bit slow, but if you're only using it for eB work it does the job.

It's fast too, takes longer to switch user accounts then to switch IPs. There are thousands of IPs available, I haven't hit a duplicate in almost a year now.

If you have patience, go for dial-up but it's old school.

Tethering is a great method as are dongles.

I have Dialup and high speed DSL. I surf on DSL while waiting for my pages to load on dialup.
