Default How do i get out of payment on hold hell ?

First off let me say i am using an account i have had since 07. I cannot for the life of me get out of payment pending hell ( the normally release funds 3 days are delivery ) My only negative came from a guy back in February of 2012.

My Low detailed seller ratings are

Item as described
0.00% (0)
1.00%
Communication
0.00% (0)
2.00%
Shipping time
3.23% (4)
2.00%
Shipping and handling charges
0.00% (0)

This is what confuses me , i have been giving the customers the tracking number and a thank you email as soon as they won their auctions . All parcels are given to the post office that day or the following morning. I have not got a single negative since the last one. I am done a lot of free shipping. Why am i still below standard ?

Positive Feedback (last 12 months): 99.4%

Item as described 4.96 0.00% (0)
Communication 4.95 0.00% (0)
Shipping time 4.73 3.23% (4)
Shipping and handling charges 4.91 0.00% (0)

do i need to contact ebay customer support ?

Paypal will hold your money for 21 days if you meet any of the following criteria:

* You have been an eBay member for less than 6 months, and you sell an item for more than $100, or
* You have an eBay feedback score of less than 100, and you sell an item for more than $100, or
* You have a Buyer dissatisfaction percentage** 5% or greater than 5%, or
* You have an average Detailed Seller Rating (DSR) of less than 4.5, or
* You have received fewer than 20 Detailed Seller Ratings in the last 12 months, or
* You are listing your item in a high-risk category such as gift certificates, video games, cell phones, computers or consumer electronics.

They will stop subjecting you to the 21 day hold when:

* You have been an eBay member for 6-months or more, and
* Your total Feedback score is 100 or greater, and
* Your Buyer dissatisfaction percentage** is less than 5%.

Or

* Your average DSR is 4.5 or greater and
* Your have received 20 or more DSRs in the last 12-months
* Your buyer dissatisfaction percentage is less than 5%

I thought ebay funds being pending also had to do with how old the paypal account was, but I guess not.

I talked to a eBay rep over the phone. He said the one negative i had back in Feb 2012 was the cause and that the pending payments would stop after next month. Not sure if this is true.

You will need to keep selling well - building positive feedback - what is your feedback by the way?

Never believe what they say but your negative should drop soon and they might release it after that.

Are you talking about ex-spouses or Ebay?

May happen.

Try to take ebay statements with a grain of salt.

Ensure you run the account as smoothly as Slapped suggested.

You have to 'prove' to ebay & paypal you are trustworthy.

( that's ironic as they never prove to us that they are )

Also, do a search of posts by the user Elijiah. There's full explanation of the foundations of the 21 day hold. You must be aware now that even if ebay stop holds, paypal may continue them. Critical to be aware of this, imo.

It's not the hold that's the problem, it's your finances, get your finances in order then you won't need to worry about the hold, if your current financial status looks something like this: 10k savings, 5k for inventory then you shouldn't be needing to get your money out of paypal so quick.

I checked on Paypal and when it says fund availability, it gives you a verification process. If you pass it, then they will take the holds off. Just came across that today.

I just sold something. I can't find it. It just let me pay for the shipping and gives me a date for funds release. Where is the verification process located ?

OP - This account is HOSED and will become toast!!! Start making your stealth accounts NOW! Do not wait to see what happens... its a goner believe me.

You are obviously BELOW STANDARD. And it will be incredibly difficult to dilute that Shipping Time DSR to below 2% before the bots suspend this account for good. You could try giving away 200 .99 items with free shiping during this month to dilute the DSR but if one of those idiots dings your DSR again it will be dead anyway.

ebay reps are a bunch of pathological liars, especially when it comes to saving your account. DO NOT fall for the old `oh your low ratings will roll off this month and everything will be honky-dory`. IT`S BULLSCHIT.

How many months have you been below standard? What months were those 4 low shipping DSRs in? Answer and we can advise.

How do i check that ? The length of time in below standard ? I know its been at least 3 months now but not sure on the exact number.

Are my dsr that bad ? 0_o three are 4.9 and one at 4.7. I am confused :( I don't know how to get it any higher.

My Low detailed seller ratings
12 months: Jan 01, 2012 - Dec 31, 2012
is what i showed above

My 3 month shows all 5's and one 4.8 ( shipping charges )

edit:

I think i found it ,

Your trending data: USA

As of Jan 10, 2013

Low detailed seller ratings %
shows feb 2012 at 7.69% , Mar '12 at 6.67% and Apr '12 at 10.00%. The rest up to now show 0.00%

Is this what you where asking for ?

You are saying your low dsr for shipping time got dinged 4 times the past year. Correct as you did... go into trending, click on show counts, and it will tell you how many you got for each month.

So you have been over the limit which is 3 for like 7 months. So unless you used to sell in much higher volumes that percentage has been over 2% for that long as well. Correct? Or did your volume drop off from last year?

yes i use to sell a lot more , but i would buy new things to sell with the funds i made so it kinda made it hard to do that. I was never a high volume seller. I sold pc printers and pc parts. From January '12 to April '12 i made about 1200k each month on eBay. I stopped selling after that because that's when the payment pending started ( i know this now from looking at my trend data. thanks for showing me this. )

I stopped selling from may '12 to jun '12 ( was depressed and had started making money on my own site ) . started back up jul '12 to september '12 . Made about 500 in jul , 800 in aug and 200 in sept. Stoped for 2 more months and went back in dec ( made a sad total of 300 )

edit*
looking back i sold the most in those first few months of '12 . Not much but around 40 items each month. After that it was in the teens. ;/

Not sure if this helps but it also shows this in my seller dash

Your seller performance status is at risk in:

Global

Not sure what that means.

There are 2 seller ratings, Global which includes any international sales you made and your US rating which is the more important of the 2.

This is how I take it... Your percentages were probably below 2% for some time after your 4th ding because of the higher volume you were doing back then. So your performance rating was above standard for some time even after the 4th ding in April. How long is hard to say since the trending data only goes back 12 months. Guesstimate would be it went below standard about August/September. That means conservatively it could possibly have been below for at least 3 months. And the January suspensions will roll out first week in Feb. Your oldest ding from Feb 2012 wont roll-off until March 20. So you have to wait another 2 months for the ebay reps` seemingly helpful roll-off advice to kick-in. Unfortunately it will be too late by then cause you will have been below standard for 5-6 months at least.

So it comes down to how bad you want to try and save this account. Its unlimited I take it. The only way to do it would be to get 200 perfect sales within this month - if your lucky by next month.

Seems to me you dont rely totally on ebay for income and you werent using this account much anymore anyway. Personally I think your time would be better spent nurturing some stealths along starting asap.
