This is what confuses me 
I always use a cellphone for all of my accounts, new and old, and they always work. I've never been prompted to use a landline. Maybe because I'm from Canada? Oh boy I hope this doesn't change in the future... I always get scared posting stuff like this.... for fear it will shine a light for EB to see and step in...
