Default Google checkout?

Just wondering how this thing works. If i have my own site and have google checkout they are both connected right? My product will be listed in google shopping and if a buyer clicks my item it will bring them to my website. Correct?

Also lets say that someone does buy something from me, where does the money go. And what are the withdrawal methods?

If anyone that knows and could answer these questions that would be greatly appreciated. Also feel free to add some things that i might also want to know. I am trying to learn how this thing works but so far its confusing me a bit.

GC will smoke you faster than PP if your items have no legit invoices or proof of authenticity. You sure you're ready for that?

google checkout is simply a payment processor like paypal. to be in google shopping you need to advertise using google adwords

I have used google checkout for years on my website as a payment processor and havent had any issues...I usually get my money automatically deposited into my bank account in 2-3 days...Unlike paypal..they dont hold the money...they transfer it right into your account after they take their fees...

I found it useful to not have everything running through paypal..just in case

Do they ask for proof/invoices before or as soon as you start selling? And authenticity isn't much of my problem. I will only have 1 item on my website that is 100% authentic. The whole point of this is to avoid pp. I don't mind getting paid with pp, but i just want a different payment processor.

Do you know how the withdrawal system works with gc?

Do they automatically deposit the money into your bank as soon as you get paid? Or do you do that manually yourself.

I'm guessing since there is no money holds they charge your account negative if there is a charge back?

They automatically transfer it into your account in 2-3 business days...as far as a chargeback...you would have to research as I never had one...but if you had a balance they would take it out of the balance..such as you sold something for 500.00 to one person..then had a chargeback for 400.00 for another person on the same day...you would get the 100.00 minus the google fees put into your account or i think they take it out of your credit/depit card they have on file if you dont have a balance...

What I also like about the google checkout is that you can program coupon codes. With paypal...you would have to reprogram all the items prices...you dont have to do that with google...you can prgram the coupon code, end the sale when you want...very easy to do and the email/customer list likes using the coupon codes

GC can and will pull directly from any attached bank account. I have no idea why you all think Google is going to be any dumber and easier to circumvent than PP. Stop the dreaming.

GC is known for NOT asking for proof - just simply terminating your account AND REFUNDING money to buyers...no questions asked.

I used GC a few years back and stopped.

I just didnt feel comfy with the way they can just shut the door on you for no reason. ( sounds like pp )

Main reason why I opened multiple banks accounts over the past few years spreading the opening of them out over time.

You are not going to beat google at much of anything.

I have put $32,000 through GC without any issues. For the first 60 days you are on the new merchant payout schedule which is payout in 10 BUSINESS days (which is 14 calendar days). After that, payout in 2 business days. Always got paid, never asked for any docs, verification, etc. Added EIN when account was first created and that was it.

Google has the worst Customer Service EVER!

I know businesses that spend a $100,000+ per MONTH on Adwords and they still get treated like trash.

Google sucks, period.

In some ways....like the customer support. Merchants can only EMAIL them and they take DAYS to respond. WTF...why no phone support!?!?
