Default new account,selling delay...

just created an account couple days old 10 feedback.
Listed a couple small items linked w/ new paypal account not problem.

now i started to post some more expensive items
and the new paypal account im using has different email address then my ebay registration which i found very weird..

so i changed my ebay registration to match my paypal email.

now half my listings that i put are not showing up publicly yet

scared to login and get banned.

i noticed if there is a couple hr delay usually something is wrong...

HI: No, NOt really- (a problem)-- Just sometimes listings take alittle longer to show up.
I can list an item in say dishes category- it shows up instantly-then same item, relist in Collectibles/antiques category--take almost 12-18 hrs to appear==
I wouldnt worry yet...

When you say that pp has your correct address, do you mean your pp and ebay addresses don't match up?

today I got an email from paypal for potential high risk and telling me to verify all the info. Ebay account is still up. is this because the address does not match ebays?

should i open up a new paypal account with new information that matches my ⊗⊗⊗⊗ information on ebays?

the only way to post a new item on ebay now is to have a paypal account in good standing.

If you came into a large sum of money ($200 and up), they will do that to you as well. When a buyer paid me $400, they immediately limited my account and asked for for a ss# and told me to select a credit background check. This account had all my real info so it was no biggie to give them what they wanted...

your account(s) until we are able to gather some additional information
from you.

They will link it if you do that. Best is to start with both a new eBay and PayPal account.

Actually ...make sure that email did indeed come from PayPal. See if you can get the entire headers of the email through your email program. What are you using? Yahoo? Gmail? Let me know if you need help with that.

It could be a phishing email and its not even from PayPal.

do you think the reason for the limit is because of different address?

Check the headers anyways to make sure. Because that is a popular phishing email to try and get access to your account. The link it gives you in the email, when you click it, what URL does it redirect you to?

It could be that it is indeed from PayPal, but there are a lot of phishing emails going around with the same content.

Paypal routinely limits all New accounts for high risk. The good thing is they will lift the freeze within a few days. There is not much way around it....The social security number is interesting though.....Usually, you can submit driver's license, utility bill, etc.....

Read the forums, you will find the information you need.

i can't confirm that because i have another account that has been blocked after i sent the info. I ended up just creating a brand new account started all over with a merchant account instead of paypal. We'll see how long this one lasts..

Hi,

I got this message from paypal and I was wondering what information they will ask for when I click for them to call me back. When I log onto paypal, they ask if they can call me now or wait 2 mins.

As part of our efforts to provide a safe and secure environment for the
online community, we regularly screen account activity.
Our review of your account has identified an issue regarding its safe use.
We have placed a restriction on your account as a precaution.

To lift the restriction we will require some further information from you.

If, once we review your further information and we're confident that the
use of your account does not present a safety risk to our service and
customers, we'll be happy to reinstate your account.

Here's what to do:

1. Log into your PayPal account
2. Click on the "My Account" tab.
3. Click on the sub-tab "Resolution Center".
4. Go to the "Action" column.
5. Click on the "Resolve" button to view the requirements and follow the
instructions provided.

After we have gathered the necessary information, we'll review your account
and notify you by email of our decision.

We thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.

Very sincerely,

PayPal Account Review Department
