Default Return request - How to handle?

One of my account have 2 return request. 1st is item no longer needed, and 2nd said defected.

Account is ghost and have no access to the return address.

1. On the first one I had emailed buyer with return instruction (prepaid shipping label back to my real address) but have not hear any thing from buyer as of yet. And it been over 2 weeks already. Buyer have not send item back and not even answer my email.

2. On the second one buyer just send a request return note with the defected reason but there is no comment in that email. Email buyer ask to explain the problem/defected detail but no respond. Send prepaid shipping label and instruction to ship item back but hear nothing from buyer.

In both case I haven't click the "Authorize request" button yet.
- What should I do now?
- What is the "Close request" button do?
- If buyer not respond, how long the return request show there?
- Is there a time period for it to expired?

This account already pass the review and ready for withdrawn next week for the first time.

Thank you very much.

Tony

1. You wait on buyer to reply.

2. You can follow-up or wait.

You didnt say how much time has passed....?

Just follow up and wait to see if they respond. I'd say about 3 out every 10 return request I have never goes any further and they don't actually return. I wouldn't close it out. Just let it sit until past 90 days then close it out once its past the a to z claims and feedback window.

Agreed, let it sit for 90 days and then close the request. At that point they will not be able to return or leave feedback.

Didnt know this....
Have a request sitting for a week, I followed up asking them to respond or ill close the request. I just assumed Amazon didnt like that return request sitting.

I'll let it sit for 90 days now
