So I recognized that payments over $100 are now held for 21 days. I got 7 payments today and only 2 that was over $100 are held. If i input a tracking number manually into the transaction details, how soon would the funds be released. Thanks

Yeah, the seller doesn't want to get screwed by PayPal. He ships the item to you, PayPal holds his funds and doesn't release them to him.

Lordik, report the seller. The whole point is so sellers can't screw people over, and they will only receive payment when their item has been successfully delivered, and the buyer is happy.

The Seller is mistaken, they will NOT have their funds released until the item is shipped.
Tell them you're going to file a SNAD or what it's called and see how soon they ship your items out.

Thats BS! Most likely he is trying to take your money. Thats stupid if paypal holds it and the seller ships once you leave positive feedback the hold is released or after 3 days of shipment. He cant just let it sit there in his account for 21 days. If he doesn't want to ship ask for a refund or file a dispute.

Recently, someone sent me $350 through Paypal.... and Paypal put a 21 day limit on it. So I refunded the payment and asked the buyer to send payment again.... and it went straight through with no problems..... Wierd stuff.

paypal thinks they are COD service. I dont think this is going to work for long. Sellers will have lots of problems. All sellers want $ upfront. I think soon all sellers will be writing people ..you ether pay different way or wait 21 days. That would be common note after the sale..

That's interesting. I will test this on four of my buyers (of whose trasactions have had 21 day holds) and let you know if having them resend payment is a way to bypass the system.

Update:

Got another payment for around $350.... customer was outside of the USA.... and it got held..... I then refunded payment and appearently the buyer says Paypal put a hold on the refund for 3-4 days.

LOL. Kind of wierd I have been accepting these types of payments for for the past two weeks and now of a sudden every payment is getting a hold on them.

Alright this has been confirmed. I refunded a total of five customers and four resent payment. All four were held. This is making me mad!

What you cannot do refund anymore? buyers wont be happy ;-) I think they don't care about buyers either anymoore. I have a feeling they will be losing buyers and sellers if they will keep this up.. I have noticed other sites like overstock.com doing allot better. Maybe people going somewhere else? I have noticed ebay stoks going down.

has anyone tried sending an invoice that hasnt been sent by ebay. Ie after the auction ends, you send your own instead of them clicking pay the seller and all that

HI:
Ref to the 21 days... Is this not the new policy paypal implemented to protect buyers from approx 1% of sellers? (or whatever it was)-- I remember reading about this in December,,,
--Maybe that seller had some problems?
