Default Help required - MC008 eBay Indefinite Selling Restriction

Hi guys,

Here's the story. I have two ebay accounts, one personal, perfect account, had it for 12 years+, no issues what so ever. And a business account. I also have two paypal accounts, again for the personal account and one for the business account.

I opened my last account a year and half ago, upon opening it, it was limited, I was requested to supply proof of who I was and invoices from my suppliers. I did all this and the account was open and I was allowed to sell.

I've been selling for about a year and a half, all going well, account in perfect order, 100% feedback. A couple of weeks ago I requested an increase in my selling limits, I spoke to a rep on the phone and was told I would receive an email requesting further information. I received the email and did as instructed, sent over more copies of invoices from suppliers and my proof of ID.

I later received an email with the following subject line: MC008 eBay Indefinite Selling Restriction

Stating:
Quote:
Dear,

In order to keep our website a safer place for buyers and sellers, your account will be restricted from selling indefinitely.

Our decision is based on evidence from our records. We're not comfortable with your selling practices or business model, and we feel they don't help to promote a positive buying and selling environment.

Even though you can't sell on our website, you can still use your account to buy or bid on items. For more information on the basics of buying, please visit:

Please remember that you can't use other accounts or register new accounts to sell on eBay. If you do, your accounts could be limited, restricted, or suspended.

Regards,

eBay Trust & Safety team

Obviously I called ebay, they claim they linked me to some account that is restricted. Well, the only account I have ever had is my personal account and that account is fine and has no limitations what so ever.

I have written to ebay and got a call back telling me they won't budge and they just don't seem to care and nobody I can escalate this to.

What can I do?

Anyone I can write to directly at ebay?

I am invested in stock, in an office, I've even employed someone to work for me... and now I have nothing, no sales, no sign of movement from ebay and no income.

Please help :(

(p.s. sorry for the long winded post)

hi mate
if its restricted indefinately then its means just that.
ebay dont care at all and no matter what you say they will not budge ever.
my advice
you can still use it for buying so thats good news also buy the Stealth Book follow instructions and like everybody else you get back on and start selling again.

unfortunately your only option is to move forward with another account. My take on this is never force anything upon your account even tho its tempting when you are at point and need higher limits. That's what creating new accounts are for. So business and personal are using same name and info?

You're right, I shouldn't have made the request, hindsight is a great thing.

Business and personal share the same name and info, correct.

Ok, so more then likely thats why they are saying your linked to a restricted account. Regardless of the standing of your other account. Typical tactics of them. In the future if your sending in docs/invoices make sure they fit into a proper business model. Best of Luck!

Some are able to get accounts back and then report they go back down again.

Have lots of stealth backups going and working.

This is exactly the reason why I never call eBay for anything, ever.

Agree with the people above. Never call eBay for any purpose or pick up a call from them. Avoid at all costs especially with stealth info if they ask you to verify and you aren't Sharpe on every little detail game over. Only call if your account is suspended/limited and it is the only chance in heck you can get it back. Otherwise run multiple accounts worry about limits and other stuff later. Just do your job do what they ask and stay under the radar. Never draw attention to yourself.

@OP, no more wasting time with the account - learn stealth and go linkfree. Calling up eB has its advantages but in general, it can be a pain...and cause problems on your accounts.

by all means don't ever call that pathetic site, they are a bunch of stupid rocks. there is nobody that can be contacted who will help or be able to help you at all with your account or any future accounts...i got suspended so i opened a new account, within 30 minutes all 4 accounts in my household were suspended immediately so i started stealth, suspended within 45 minutes...then gave it one more try, been selling under the radar since then, it's been 1 1/2 years ha ha ha!!! so remember, ebay DOES NOT have any staff support!
