Default What does this mean?

Basically, I sold a PS3 controller on Ebay and the buyer opened a Item Not as Described case against me on Ebay. And just yesterday, I got an update on my case saying "The funds that were placed on temporary hold have been reversed", but for some reason the funds are still being held by Ebay/Paypal.

Have I been screwed over by the buyer's cc company? What should I do?

Not reversed to buyer yet - PP is doing an investigation on it right now so you dont have access to it.

They are not giving you the money or giving the money back until the case has been finalized. It is being "held" and once a final decision has been made the money will be given to whoever the case has been awarded to.

Dont get too happy. You most likely wont be awarded the case. Best case scenario is the item will have to be sent back, and that punk @ss kid will send you back a broken one or some junk. This is fraud, and it is time to scare the p!ss out of them legally or with police tactics.

Nope, not closing this yet.

Wait until you get the final OK from paypal.

This is still in undecided.

Sit back and wait for the investigation to go through.

Don't jump to conclusions yet...

I've had several of these cases over the years, and PayPal almost always rules in the buyer's favor. They will have the buyer send the item back to you, and when they confirm delivery, they will give the buyer a full refund.
Hopefully it's an honest buyer and they sent back the original item undamaged, etc.

I've had buyers send back a box full of rocks, or a box full of packing peanuts...

If you're lucky PayPal will side with you, or the buyer will at least be honest enough to send back the original item.

Good luck!

Okay so, I just gave the buyer a partial refund of 10$ and the case is now closed. I thought this was a small price to pay compared to the $31.99 I'd lose if Paypal were to close the case in his favour. Blah!

EDIT: And for some reason, Ebay credited the full $31.99 back to my Paypal account and they didn't want me to reimburse them the 10$ either. Always thought I'd have to pay them in situations like these, so I guess I am in the clear now?

Well now I just have a couple more non-receipt cases to deal with. Never shipping internationally again. :S

Thanks for everything guys.

Did you not see the case you had open against you to start with?
