Not at all - the ghost guide has nice steps....not hard to follow - new computer is nice for fresh start though.

I am going to buy myself a chromebook and a wifi dongle tomorrow. Should be around $350 for everything and if the account gets banned within 30 days just return it and get your money back and buy another one.

It's not only about the hardware or IP. It's also about what and how you running the account

Will this work?

1. Re-install windows
2. Change mac address on router
3. Make a Amazon account with my partners information in another state

I'm so glad I don't sell in the tech space. It's full of lowlife buyers.

1. Good to do
2. Depend on what service you are using
3. You better go stealth than using your partner info

I mean DO NOT use your friend, brother, sister, mother, father, cousin, in-law, or anyone that you know. Their info is the same as stealth info, why risk your relationship?

No, I'm using a mobile broadband dongle that I just picked up. Just made my new amazon account so I hope everything will be fine.

I just bought everything from best buy. I usually don't return things to small time sellers.

1) you dont ever need to change your mac address. Plenty of people on the forums now learning that this cant be tracked and do nothing to change it. A new IP IS ENOUGH, no need to change the router.
.
2) no need to re-install windows. You could get away with deleting all cookies or using a different internet browser but to be safe I would simply suggest a different windows account.

these are the steps that you should take to make sure amazon cant trace your pc. I have several accounts, some have passed reviews and others on the way. never had any problems using these methods.

If you pay for the book, it has the information you are looking for. If trying to get back on is not worth paying for the book, then you'll just have to figure it out.

You don't have all the steps.

It's a good thing to stay away from buyer returns, I don't want to get your "amazon banned" chrome book from best buy. Thank goodness they have an open box section and they don't repackage as new.

Reminds of the story when friend of mine and I went to Best Buy (or Future Shop) 7-8 years ago - he bought a new computer and the sales associate put it on the desk to ring the purchase. The clerk accidentally knocked it off the counter and it fell - sales associate said it would still be good but my friend kept yelping "Open box sale! open box sale!"
