Default EBAY High Shipping Cost Warning - What if I ignore the message?

Does anyone get this message when they are about to list an item? Do you adjust your shipping or just say screw it? Does ebay actually remove your auctions?

Maybe it goes un noticed? If you remote list--you will never see it--its in a small box in black print at end of listing before you press list now...

The minimum

$1.17 - 1 ounce
$2.20 - Signature confirmation (credit card companies don't count delivery confirmation for anything)
$1.70 - lowest insurance the post office offers
---------------
$5.07

Then there's packing material which is at least $1.

yes, i have seen that warning too. i just ignore it. ebay is comparing your shipping to others in the same category, but it doesn't mean the items are all the same. there are a lot of variables that can make similar items in the same category weight much more, or are a bigger item. then you have the free shipping people throwing off the curve.

it's getting ridiculous. basically ebay wants everyone to give free shipping so they can benefit from taking a larger feee from your starting price.

Default What if I ignore Ebay's message on high shipping cost

Hi,

When I put shipping cost pretty high in the listing, I got ebay message of the high shipping (together with possible item removal) before I complete the listing. I ignored and posted the listing and haven't done it 3 times, and so far haven't received any warning of item removal yet. Should I keep ignoring it and apply high shipping cost or should I adjust it to make it follow Ebay rules.

It's probably best to follow eBay rules with this... They don't like high shipping cost, make it up else where if you can.

I have had my listing taken down because of this. IF you are listing this item over and over and over again, i suggest you lower the shipping. What i do is just lower it a few dollars and see if the message still comes out. Also your item will get less visibility if you list and ignore this message

Example, your item is about to end (15mins left) and there's another item with 60mins left (with cheaper shipping). They will show that 60min item first and yours will be below.
