Default Google Checkout bank information under review.

I have a legit Google Checkout account since 2009. I recently changed my bank account information on Google and verified the account this morning. Then stupid me decided to switch to another bank account, so I clicked on the bank account information tab, added all legit information. Then I got this message instead of the usual verification message: Your bank account information is currently under review. Check back in a few days.

Do I need to worry about this? Has anyone else also had similar experience? Any information is helpful. Thanks!

Just got this same message - I'm wondering when you say "normal account verification message just showed up" did you mean the email with instructions to verify the bank account, or did the verify button show up on the financials page?

Anybody found out what this really, means, I changed ownership/account information on Google Checkout today, and I received this message. "Your bank account information is currently under review. Check back in a few days."

Any help?

Kind of an old thread to bring up - but anyhow seems like moomooj stated in Post #2 that it cleared on its own.

I suspect that there is probably just a delay involved when account information is changed.

Of course, moomooj only changed his bank account info - it seems you tried to changed everything completely?!? That's usually a big flag on any payment processor system - have your ID support ready in case...

Yeah, I have to,

But if anything I do have all my information and anything they need ready, I just hope it does not take forever.

Been with google checkout for years and I just recently change this info because I want to match my business account info, from my partners information as I bought his share of the business. But it appears Google Checkout is also retiring from the game.

Right now GC are taking an age to respond to emails.

Kind like they know they are closing so do not care.

A hassle to do business.

Ah well, we have paypal.

Paypal is evil nonetheless but changing info is always a flag - hope it solves in your favour. Good that you have documents ready

Yeah, and I have two transactions total of 3K in there, but I'll continue, try and see if they respond tomorrow,

For legal reasons it it the right thing to do when you have an acquisition. My lawyers are there if anything happens,

As I was writing I sign in and shows that it fixed itself and now lets me verify my business bank account.

One issue out of the way.

Allows you to move forwards.

Good Luck

Dunno if anyone else noticed but they're shutting down google checkout. After Nov 20 you won't be able to take payments through them. I'm sure that's causing some delay in getting response from them right now.

For me the message went away shortly after. I can't remember, like 45 minutes, maybe a couple of hours max. If it's taking any longer than that for the link to confirm your bank account to show up in the financials section, you might have a problem. :|

Yeah, no more GC, they're not taking anymore registrations starting May 20th, and retiring transactions on Nov 20th, Nov 27th is the last day to get you download reports for your books.

To be honest it was expensive, and not so recently did customers realized, "oh, google wallet" - with new online commercials and advertising. I don't accept Amex, but when I have a customer that needs it, because he either was shut down by pp and cannot use it, or his ticket item charge is past my limits transaction, we usually went with GW, and the reaction from customers were these two, an 'I don't know them' or 'did not know Google accepted payments'. lol!
