This usually happens when Amazon suspects you are selling items you shouldn't be. If they were f@kes then the money is gone. If they were legit, fight it all the way.

All original books legit and prices were also not too low that they would have a reason to suspect.
the account itself doesnt open.do you know how to approach them

Good luck! Once an account is deleted, you are pretty much out of luck. If you call, they will tell you that they will have someone from seller support call you back, but that will not actually happen.

The only way I've heard of anyone beating this is by having an attorney get involved. If you happen to know an attorney personally, and they owe you a favor, you might have them make a call or send a letter. Hiring an attorney to recover $1k is not really practical unless you find one that works REALLY cheap.

I'm sure you could find a lawyer that doesn't charge an arm and a leg to write Amazon a letter for you. You may be surprised on how many lawyers are willing to help for a small fee. If it cost ya $100 for the letter it's still a good investment if you can get your $1,000 back.

Will it be easy? No, but don't give up a good fight. $1k is nothing to sneeze at, I would go insane if I lost that much cash, probably why I don't sell on Amazon! haha

Your account will have been linked to an old account you most probably had at one time, you sound quite a newbie if you don't know about account deletion. Read the forums and you will understand more. I would not waste the $100, more money after bad, before you know it, your attorney will have replied to several letters and you will have a bill for several hundred dollars. Just move on.

I know about account deletion but its usually in the first 2 3 days as far as Ive seen it.This account is 9 days old which is why I am confused.usually when they link it after 4 5 days they usually suspend it.Ive never seen them completely delete it unless ofocurse its just been made or a day or 2 into its life

The account could have been linked to another account.

They could have detected a VPN/VPS.

They could have had reason to believe it was a stealth account with ⊗⊗⊗⊗ information.

There are a lot of reasons Amazon might delete an account. Selling phakes is only ONE of the possible reasons.

Yes most likely if its deletion within 1st few weeks its usually linking to suspended account...

I just wanted to add...

I sell books as well, mostly out of print and rare titles. There is very little in the way of counterfeiting of these items, so that is not a concern. But I have lost accounts too. We all have. Generally speaking, the more experience you have, the fewer you will lose, but AN account can get hit out of the blue with Amazon.

If anyone who has been doing this for even a few months tells you they have been working on Amazon in stealth mode with several accounts and they claim to have never lost one, the are most probably LYING.

Amazon REALLY slices and dices their data. They look for patterns, they use browser fingerprinting, public records and credit bureau data, they look at WHAT you sell, etc. Not all of these things happen at the same time. So, your account can pass their tests numbered 1, 2 and 3, and then get flagged on test 4.

An account can get killed in an hour, or it can take weeks.

IMHO, to be successful on Amazon you need to have multiple accounts, you need to know what you are doing and - and this is VERY important - you CANNOT take short-cuts. Be cheap and use a $5 per month VPS, or use a free phone forwarding service and don't be surprised when you lose the account.

It costs some money to do business on Amazon, but the rewards are worth it if your profit margin is high enough.

Again, pure wisdom from Jeff without one single word of fluff. It's good to have someone with his experience reiterate the concrete fundamentals of a successful business plan using stealth on Amazon. Big thanks from me.

nop,all US editions.theyre mostly overstock books but that doesnt matter if theyre US editions .and just to add not instructor's edition either, proper US editons
plus its not in any way related to the issue but Ive selling the same titles on amazon.ca and amazon uk for over 6 months on accounts that havent suspended and no issues and decent feedback so its definitely not the books

Is this something as of recent amazon is doing? I never heard of them deleting account if the suspect your selling phakes. You are just banned, but can still log in and get money in 90 days.

They delete your account if they suspect it being linked to another suspended account or up to several days after setting up a new account which for some reason or another they don't like.

Well I think in this situation it is easy to assume that the account was deleted due to linking. However, an employee from Seller Performance most likely deals with links/phakes on a case by case basis. I don't think anyone can confirm one way or another what the definite result would be in either scenario.

Started a good nine months ago or longer.

Was a thread reporting this too.

Game plan changed big time with amazon

Started as early as Spring-Summer 2011 - way more than 9 months :( very rough affair...maybe even end of 2010 - angers the blood to think about it

In actually, it started in Fall 2011 after the huge loss Amazon took from a legit seller turned Scammer named "Rae-N-Ray's Toy Box"

After that, Amazon became very cold and unforgiving of any sellers that even looked suspicious
