Hi all,

so what do we all think about the new 'Report a buyer' when they have left feedback for you that is either negative or neutral?

Also, subtitle listing fees have gone down to £0.35 in the UK from £1.05!

Thoughts on the reporting the buyer and could this have any effect if they look at your account to remove the feedback? Possible issue with manual review?

I think its a useless function.
I have never had a negative removed due to reporting someone.
I think its just a case of 'if they get out of control with many reports, then we will look at it'

Yep just a gimmick to make sellers feel like they have protection but if we do report we bring heat on our own account and face possible limitation/ suspension

I have had one removed by reporting. Your one report alone will not do anything. However I have checked feedback left by those buyers and gathered few other sellers to also report bad buyer and within weeks we all had the negative removed and buyer was NRU.

I am sure it takes several people complaining for it to work

If you are careful with the approach of reporting it is workable. Would avoid over-use as a given.

Ah, an extra .80p to spend. What will I do with it?

Just one of those things they consulting group they hired to help them fix their image probably suggested.

To me just another joke in an attempt to pretend to care about a seller.

I wont be using it, I can see a back stabbing from it myself.

I am with GB, use it a lot and it could cause issues.

These "jokes" might appeal to the novice sellers - pro sellers and stealth afficianados will realize that these dont help much at all
