Default How long does the Appeal Process take?

My account was restricted not too long ago and I spoke with two reps on eBay and they told me to reply directly to the MC999 message asking for an appeal, so far it's been a week and there has been no response. I've already begun the process of making 3 stealth accounts but I'd still like to salvage my original account if possible..

Anyone with any experiences?

Did you have to fax in ID, Invoices ETC...., sometimes you send everything in and they close your account anyway, when you get that email, its pretty much a death sentence, yea sometimes you might win but the majority do not, so continue making link free accounts

No actually, I haven't received anything. Not even the 48 hour notice of termination that other users have been receiving.

sometimes i have experienced replies in 5-7 days, sometimes i have received none. if the account is dead for them it is very likely that they would not reply at all...... its a thing that is not sure, you can always experience differently, even getting an account back...by having a rare chance.

continue with creating stealths so you have backups and build history with as much of them as you can at a time.

ps

you can try to chat with CS on eb uk and ask them as you dont know whats happening something like... " my account appears to be blocked in someway could you please let me know if i should do anything to unblock it or what is wrong..."

last time i have tried this i was told to provide id, proof of address and invoices and the account was restored.

Each account can have a different response time.

Comes down to the reason for the suspension and how ebay are reacting to your response.

Creates a Catch22 for users too.

If you enquire as to the delay, ebay have been known to stop doing anything.

If you do not enquire, you are left in limbo.

Thanks.

But hypothetical scenario here. The weird thing is that I have 2 accounts, and they're obviously linked (one for selling and one for buying), yet they've only restricted the sellers account.

Now I understand in a situation similar to this, if one account gets banned, they all get banned. But what would happen if I kept the restricted account in limbo? Would that restriction eventually seep over to the 2nd account or would I be able to sell as usual. I only ask this because I posted up 2-3 items on my second account and sold without any issues.

Sorry if this sounds confusing. But the EBAY machine itself is one confusing monster...

@rok1982, gulaga is right - if you try to turn the buyer into a seller account, you will likely fail. Avoid this whole mess and make new ones

OP, avoid dealing with potential complications of this mess - let them go - maybe buyer accounts only to use but nothing more
