Default How do you move inventory you no longer want? Luck selling lots on ebay?

I only have a very limited amount of storage space for my ebay items, I buy name brand clothing wholesale from distribution outlets.

sometimes I overdo it and don't have the room to store it since sometimes I get off season items and need to hold them for a while before it's a good time to list.

My question is if you have ever had to move inventory quickly how do you do it?

Do you sell it in lots on ebay? Do you have a garage sale? Craigslist? Whats been the most cost effective way you've moved a large number of items?

Try all of the above you listed, sometimes Craigslist can be good for wholesale , I did this once , I needed to move a lot of inventory so placed an ad on Craigslist and had a local buyer , local pickup and , paid cash which was really nice

Depends on the items.

For me if it is my type of items I run them back through the auction houses.

Nothing new, mainly left overs from estates I buy etc.

Actually have posted a wholesale lot as a great flea market purchase on cl and got many callers and done well before.

.99 cent auctions. Or for items that are out of season ridiculously low BIN. Sometimes I have wait half a year to clear some of the crap out myself because some of the items are so seasonal.

Price is always the biggest factor. If the price is low enough people will buy. But yea if you got massive inventory you might be able to move it to someone else. That is why it is always nice to be friends with other people sell similar products.

Even had a few times where a couple of us were the only ones with a certain variation of a product on eBay. We all colluded together not to sell the items below a certain price.

Leave them stored in my brother's garage until it's time to relist on ebay.

With my goods, it's better the devil you know.

You can try to group items and sell them that way, it has helped in the past

Takes up too much time doing it one by one I have found.

Depends on time of year and type of items too.

I dump it via ebay lowest bid I can choke with and enough to cover shipping and get it out of here and get back to the juicy money making.

Watching the pennies too close the dollars get away

Check some other auction sites such as ebid, ioffer, might find a market that hates to use ebay with a passion

I like that CL option and have some guy pick it up - let him sell it off one by one

I have had fantastic luck selling 'lots' and wholesale through eBay. I actually listed my lot of 100 of my main product line for more profit per item than I was selling them individually for - sold within 24 hours and that's what I have continued doing.

Its a very good way of making a quick buck - make sure the goods are 100% in working order and youll get some good repeat custom. Amount of people that trawl wholesale section is unbelievable.
