Default Paypal account Limited but linked to a 6 year old eBay account

I have a question and I cannot find any answers to it anywhere on this forum.

I have a limited paypal account which is over 6 years old. I was unfortunate to suffer from some reversals and all the buyers got their money back leaving me owing Paypal nearly £1.3k. Now eBay suspended my account (1800+ fb, age 6 years) for trademark violation MC062 and I was suspended for a period of 7 days and I owe eBay just over £10 in fees.

Now my question is this, If I were to pay the eBay fees would a) My eBay account be reinstated, would I need to send in id? and b) If I link it to a genuine verified paypal account which has not had any links to any suspended eBay account, will my eBay account be good to go or will it be suspended due to me owing funds to the paypal account that it was originally linked too?

I would really like this account back as this is only it's 2nd violation and I have sent in documents previously and it is worth £££££££'s.

Should be fine once you make the payment. Just talk to a representative to remove the limitation so you can start selling again. All tho they might want to do a phone call on you or not.

I am not going to make the payment to Paypal as I am wondering if I can get the eBay account back just by paying the £10 fee's and possibly sending my id. I can no longer send in utility bills etc as I am not in the UK and have been outside of the UK for nearly the past 4 years.

I do not really want to fax in info if it will be a waste of time and I will also have to go down the road of a fresh start with Paypal (new bank account, card etc) which will be time consuming and hassle for me if it is pointless.

Start fresh with a new PayPal account....You won't get suspended from eBay because you owe PayPal money....Pay eBay the 10 GBP, get your eBay account back and then when you receive payments from customers, write in the e-mail address of your new PayPal account...It should work...

Ah thanks so it is not reversed linked. I will get the account back then as it is worth a hell of a lot of £££££'s. Just to add that it is a legit account so giving them documents is no problem.

If your new PayPal account is linked to another eBay account, and you start receiving payments in your new PayPal account....eBay will link you to both eBay accounts.....so if one gets suspended, then the other account will follow...

But if your new PayPal account is not linked to any eBay accounts, then use it with your eBay account....when you are listing item's, at the bottom of the page, write in the e-mail address of your new PayPal account....

But I must warn you...If your new PayPal, uses any of your previous information, like names, credit cards, bank account #'s, or same passwords or e-mail address's...PayPal might link you to a limited PayPal account and then limit your new account...

I would suggest putting it in someone elses name...a friend or family member...and even a new address....

Yes it will be a fresh account with no trace. Thanks for the info, much appreciated.

I think I may look into using Nochex as that is allowed from eBay I just need to see if they take paypal payments so I can integrate it.

Exclamation What Is The Answer?

...withoutit, Can you answer this question please?

How is the user who asked the question going to SELL without a verified paypal
account? How can there be a stand alone account for paypal that will allow
the ebay seller's account to worK?

So your saying that I cannot create a new paypal account and use it in conjunction with the eBay account?

GreenBean, I don't know 100% how it works....but this once happened to me...and I started to receive payments in another PayPal account....without any problems...

I presume that even though the Limited PayPal account is linked to the eBay account, within eBay's system, you are still considered as "Verified" with PayPal, even though your PayPal account is really limited...

You cannot literally link the new PayPal account with the eBay account...their system won't allow you to...but what you can do, is enter the e-mail address of your other PayPal account when you are in the process of listing your item....

When the auction finishes, you will get paid in your in your new PayPal account... It happened to me last year...I presume that you can still do this..

GreenBean, I assume that you are in Australia? In Australia you can list within Australia without being PP verified (all you need is a PP account linked to your eBay user Id), but if you want to list globally you will need to have a verified PP account...et Voila......

Yep I am in Australia.
But this user is talking about running a UK account, which if it has that amount of feedback is golden AND now current conditions requires a verified paypal to sell.
My main worry is that last year's info ain't going to work NOW. I do not want this forum to have any reason to give advice that is neither current nor confirmed. Voila tout!!

Would eBay not be able to check my Paypal details to see that my name etc in the Paypal account does not match with my eBay account and visa versa?

GreenBean.......look, although the info is not confirmed by other people on this website - if the guy wants to still use his "Golden" eBay account, the info that I suggested could be 1 alternative - his other alternative is to pay back PayPal 1.3k GBP. He has no other options.... Je ne sais pas si tu parle français mais je comprends pas = viola tout.......

So eBay does check to see if you have a limited Paypal account?

Also I am unsure if the accounts are actually linked.

So why didn't eBay notify me that they were suspending me for having a Limited Paypal account? Hmm I am very confused now.
