Sometimes they suspend your ebay accounts and not your paypal. But if they suspend paypal it would be soon if a week or so passes by and it still active then you should be fine.

If you have money in that PayPal I would not wait much longer to get all your cash out, unless you don't mind waiting 180 days!

Absolutely right. If PayPal suspends your account, they will hold your money for 180 days.

Did the ebay suspension say u still are allowed to buy?? If so I think you have a better chance of your Paypal not being limited. But good move on withdrawling the funds , good luck

Dmshark25 is right, however it was still a good idea to withdraw whatever you could from PayPal. Why take an unnecessary risk? This way, if your PP account survives, great. If not, at least you don't have to wait 6 months for your money.

If it's a big amount, do it slowly - small withdrawals, space it out - PP knows (or can tell) when you are trying to get your money out quickly following an eB suspension...

Yes, it's only limited for selling. Ivan still go in and buy stuff then paying with the linked PayPal acc at this stage.

My money has been safely withdrawn. But I'm still hoping the acc will be in good standing, as I got about 2.5k in reserve, which won't be all cleared until late August.

I'm about to receive few grand from a customer, shall I wait a few more days to get him to send the money? Just to make sure my acc won't be limited?

rsot is correct. However, it also depends on your account history. For example, if you normally withdraw $1,000 per week and then withdraw $1,200, it probably won't be noticed. But if your normal withdrawal is $1,000 and then you try to take out $5,000 or empty the account, THAT will most likely be noticed.

Do u have another Paypal account that the buyer can send the funds too?? I definitely wouldn't use the Paypal account for anymore transactions, once you get your funds out close up shop and move on .

Don't let a customer send more funds into the account if you don't have to it could be limited at anytime , it's still possible even though your allowed to buy

I got 2 other accounts, one of them has been require some documents for a while, someone on the forum was meant to help me out but never did. And the other account is still fairly new and the amount of payment I need to receive, will just get it banned right away.

Wow you are pushing the PP....its not just the time period that will keep it from being limited. Do you have to use pp with the customer? A lot depends on what you are selling, your previous history, tracking, etc...

Yes, I have to use PayPal for most of my customers. Because it involves quite high amount of money and lots of them pay with credit card. I might start looking into getting a merchant acc soon.

Newb question. But why would your paypal account get suspended if your ebay account is? This wasn't the case before.

It does not always happen, but eBay owns PayPal and they DO exchange information.

Sometimes, if eBay only suspends your selling privileges your PayPal account will be fine. However, if your account was suspended for what they call a "severe" violation, then your PayPal is likely to go down as well.

How do you tell if its a "severe" violation or not?

Severe violations would include shill bidding, selling counterfeits, attempting to circumvent eBay fees, attempted fraud, logging in where an attempt is being made to conceal your real identity - like through the TOR network, a VPS or VPN. There are other things as well, but I believe these are the most common.

Are your eBay accounts able to buy, or not? If they are able to buy, the PayPal accounts are much more likely to survive. If they are completely suspended, there is a better chance that the PayPal accounts will be suspended as well.

Can also use the PP accounts for other transactions outside of eB
