Default Paypal wants to call to withdraw

Hi guys, when I try to withdraw money from pp they ask to call me. I have a linked prepaid t-mobile card but when I press the call me button they say "We couldn't verify this phone number. Please choose a different phone number or add a new number", any suggestions?

Thanks

Try entering a different phone number. I've had prepaid SIM cards expire due to lack of use.

Your screwed with this no one on the forum knows or can help. Only thing to do is get prepared and call paypal. You are probably 70/30 get canned but if you get by they will provide you with alternatives. Good luck

Was it a large amount of money you are trying to withdraw? Is it a newer account?

It sounds like PayPal is suspicious about something as this does not normally happen.

I had this happen on one account before and I had google voice , I used the app so it was like having a phone in my cell it didn't need to go thru another number to call first I got a call directly to google voice app and it gave me a code which I typed in and withdraw was good

I downloaded the google voice app to my iPhone so when u open the app it's just a keypad like regular phone and you just dual directly on the keypad to any number, I had this happen once in the beginning of my stealth days because I tried to withdraw from a strange IP AND the next 4 withdrawals I needed to do this all from google voice app worked perfect every time

That happened to me yesterday. I called PayPal and they resolved it. It's a security flag that was triggered.

What did I do?

1. Add a Google Vice Number. Make sure your not withdrawing form another computer. If so go back to the PC you normally use if available. After you log into the PC you normally use wait 24 hours and then call PayPal from the Google Voice number you just added to PayPal. Make sure you make your call thru PayPal so you can enter your temporary passcode provided on the PayPal website.

2. I recommend acting like your trying to purchase something on eBay and call and tell them the transaction your trying to pay won't go thru and you get a message that say "please contact PayPal customer service to resolve this issue". And tell them you had this same issue yesterday and your trying to order this [item name].

Note: if they ask if you previously logged into a new PC tell them yes because you thought it was your old PC giving you a problem.

3. They may ask you to try another browser. If so, act like your doing so and tell them you still get a message saying "transaction error. Please contact PayPal customer service to resolve this issue". Tell them it still doesn't let you purchase.
Then might put your on hold to try to find out what's the problem, just like they did with me. Don't mention anything about this message here "We couldn't verify this phone number. Please choose a different phone number or add a new number".

From there end they think you are trying to buy something so if there is a security flag that is preventing you from completing the transaction they will removed it so you can make your purchase (buyers glory). Therefore, let them put you on hold 3 times to diagnosing the issue from there end. If they see the flag for what ever reason they might remove, if your lucky like me.

(Your approaching them as buyer not a seller. They normally bow down to buyers).

If you can't withdraw yet, the tell them you still get the message "transaction error. Please contact PayPal customer service to resolve this issue".

Once they remove the security flag on your account and they ask you again to try to pay for the transaction again. Try to withdraw if you buy pass the message "We couldn't verify this phone number. Please choose a different phone number or add a new number", then you know the security flag is off. So tell them "wow, thanks I can pay for my (item name) now. Now I get PayPal button so I can pay, thanks."

Be calm, relax, I had this prob yesterday.

Your just disguising the real issue with a generated issue as a buyer not a seller.

This worked for me.

Don't forget to actually buy the item too, lol. It's worth it.

i added a new number since the old one is no longer active (account was made a long long time ago), thought I would be safe adding a number from a big company but I guess not. Oddly, i was able to withdraw a small amount yesterday (under $25) but now it won't let me withdraw again

also this is not a new account, over a year old and I am not trying to withdraw a large amount
