Default Name on account for transfer

Hello,

Does anyone know if it's possible to just use my personal name as the business name on a new PayPal business account to avoid mismatch problems when transferring money to my personal bank account? Please advice.

Thank you.

You should not risk doing that if the personal name info has been banned before.

Explain your history with ebay/paypal.

I have tried this on one account, I created business Paypal and my business name was my real name example real name: Robert smith and my Paypal business name Rob Smith.

It's only been 3 month but everything still ok limit raises Paypal hold just lifted

That being said I probably won't use this method again

Welcome to the forums soydo.

As long as your bank allows deposits in mismatching names, you should be fine.

Get reading around the forums and the stealth guide to understand this basic concept.

All the best

Welcome the forum.

So long as your bank has no known issues with mismatching names there is no need for this.

Best of luck

Yea, it isn't really necessary. There are entire threads about banks which allow mismatching names. Not to mention all the PayPal business accounts I have the transfer still comes in under the name of the registrant on the PayPal account.

Not true i did exactly what OP stated for one account and when you create a business name that's the name that's attatched to the withdrawals , this is a certainty at least for US accounts.

I wanted to try something new and used same stealth name for ebay and Paypal and than used real name as my Paypal business name and when I submitt deposits my real name is attatched .

I just like to vary my accounts , create them a little different and so far this method works great but again the account is still relatively new 3-4 months old , but withdrawals work great and I used a bank that does not except mismatches but my Paypal business name is real name so all has been good.

It's always good to try new things and vary accounts when you have many of them

It must be for newer accounts. Because I have two PayPal business accounts from 2008. I check my deposits online and they both have the stealth PayPal name deposits not the business name registered on the PayPal account. Unless you have an option to change the withdrawal name now. It has always had the stealth "mismatch name" on the bank account statements for me even when it is registered as a Business Account.

Good point - seems like you are grandfathered into the system of should the originator's name not the business name
