Default What do you peoples think about selling my mobility device?

Last month I bought a moblity device to get around but have decided to buy a car instead. This thing cost me $1k new + I upgraded the batteries for $150 so I think I can get $600 or $700 for it. Do you think i'm ok to sell for local P/U on my stealth account without any causing me any problems from EB? Thanks ya'll.I also have a Diesel fashion watch to sell for $150 whacha think?

Just don't message your actual address through ebay, wait till payment received and than once u get the Paypal email , email the buyer direct of where to pick up.

Also I'm assuming your stealth address and real address are in close proximity ??

Yes I am close. My main concern is getting flagged for the $$ amount or whatever. I don't want to take a chance if it's a bad idea in the 1st place.

The Diesel watch could be problematic as they are probably counterfeited. Not to say that YOURS is, but eBay might think that.

By mobility device, I am guessing you mean one of those little scooters? That I don't see a problem with. There are no counterfeits that I am aware of. Just be sure to list the WEIGHT LIMIT in the listing. SERIOUSLY. I'm not kidding. Many people looking for those scooters are disabled, and some of them have mobility issues due to severe obesity. If the scooter is rated for 300 lbs and your buyer is 400 lbs, then they could come back a week later and want to return it if it stops working.

I know that some of you are chuckling reading this, but weight limits on these scooters should be taken seriously. They are rated for a reason. If the user weighs 301 lbs and it is rated for 300, that is probably OK, but there should not be a SIGNIFICANT difference or the scooter will be toast.

I am NOT making fun of the overweight. I am overweight and so is my cat. I looked into a scooter when I had a health issue (turned out to be temporary, so I never bought it) and I weighed 270 at the time. The salesman told me the scooter I wanted was only rated to 250 lbs and the warranty would not apply if I was the user of that particular scooter. That is how I know this.

That is another good option. These scooters tend to sell for a decent amount of money, it is not like they get discounted by 75% - at least not in my area.

Default CL is great if I feel like getting beat up

Thanks I always sell all my stuff on CL. Just here in SOFLA one tends to get beat up and insulting offers made. I consider insulting more than 30%. People also don't show up and lots more. I usually meet my CL customers a block from my house at a gas station and they call me 10 minutes out or I don't move. Also don't want some dope terrorizing me at my apt. because they broke my merch.

Never ever allow strangers near your home.

Protect yourself whenever you do a face to face transaction.

I used do quite a few CODs with ebay Australia. Stopped that when a lady dog of a human got lost and tried to blame me for bad directions. Luckily I had a screenshot of them to show ebay....HAH

Just be careful of anything like this, my Friend

ps, Have you thought of asking the place where you got it from if they might do a trade?

Might be another option to consider.

In Canada, I have traded on eBikes. I can compare a mobility device to an eBike. There was not a single problem whatsoever, buyers paid cash and rode away on a charged battery. I made a good profit. I never sold a 200lbs or 300lbs eBike on eBay. My supplier was very descent and changed defective DOA very fast.

CL or eBay Classified are your best bet. Don`t settle for less, take your time and it will pay off.

The COD option is nice if you can set it up properly - only usually works for inTRAnational sales.
