Capital one is formerly ING. I can tell you, yes they care about the names matching.

Not sure about Capital one, ING direct became Capital 360.

Capital 360 questions mis-matched names. After I made some accounts I received calls pertaining to the micro-deposits months back. I got those paypal accounts verified, but I ended up adding B of A accounts to make withdrawals. Have not had any problems with B Of A.

It won't get reversed for a one time withdrawal. Most likely you'll get shut down months down the line when a lot more money starts coming in.

Dealing with Capital One on a mismatched name deposit has no guarantee that the deposit will be successful. Years ago it used to be ok, but there has been lots of member posts recently stating that they were denied with most of these internet banks (including Capital One). As you said it may or may not get reversed on a one time deposit if the names does not match but it's not good for long term.
The best workaround with this I think is using your complete matching name as it appears on your Capital One account without any missing letters. Even if you were banned from Paypal before, that doesn't mean it's the same person applying for Paypal again. Ideally, you wouldn't want to make large amount of deposit with such account very often either.

hi Gvsv11, in regards to the test withdraw you made last Friday, we have not heard back from you. Did you receive a call or something? Let us know.
Thanks.

Not sure why others are having issues w/ Capital One.

I used Capital One 360 (formerly ING Direct) and have different savings account for each of my stealth accounts.

For a year now, my first stealth account had my name slightly mis-spelled (by a few letters). Withdrawals from PP to CA 360 were never an issue (sometimes would do $500 at a time).

I recently added 2 more stealths to my main CA 360...this time the names are nowhere near close. In both cases, the 2 initial deposits for verification both passed.

Since they are new and aging, I haven't done withdrawals yet from PP. I will post my experience when I do transfer.

Be careful with INg/Cap One as they will shut your account down for various reasons. Esp if it is a new main account.

No more then 6 withdraws/transfers per month per account.

They do not like mismatch names period but if your account is older it can handle a slight one.

Cap one is not stupid like Ing, afterall they are a huge credit card company that has tons of info at their fingertips.
