Default Buyer claim did not receive case.

So I have a buyer just file a claim an item did not received when the tracking number (UPS) show that it was delivered on June 28th. They claim that they were on vacation so they didn't know what happen to it (sigh, how stupid can these buyer be). Anyway, the way they file a claim without contacting me seem like they're professional buyer, trying to scam me. The item was only $70 that why I didn't get signature required (usually for item over $100, I add signature).

This stealth account is pretty new only 17 100% feedback so guess I'll take a loss and refund them, hoping they don't leave a negative. I was wondering if I can contact UPS and have them go to the buyer house and file a report etc, maybe scare them. Is that even possible?

If you uploaded tracking information and it shows that it was accepted into the UPS system within 1 business day of payment then escalate the case to customer support. There is no way you can lose the claim.

Also if a buyer loses a claim Ebay now will not let them leave any feedback at all. So no fear of a negative feedback.

Oh cool I didn't know that they can't leave a negative if they lose the case. Yeah I already add the tracking number to the case. It was added on the day it was ship as well which was almost 3 weeks ago. Nice I was going to refund lol. I'll escalate the case then.

I was afraid that they would leave a negative since it's a new stealth account but now that I know if they lose the case, they can't leave a negative, I'll fight to the end. Thanks guy

Most packages are auto insured for 100 dollars (There is a slight chance I'm wrong about this with UPS, it's been a while since I've made a claim so you may want to double check!)

Even if you lose the case, be nice to the buyer! You don't want a nasty negative feedback. My point is, you can get the money back through an insurance claim for such a small amount of money.

However, because it's less than 250 dollars, you don't need sig confirmation, so you should win the case without any problems.

Best of luck

You will win the case. You have done everything from the books. I don't see anyway this buyer will bulldoze his way through. At least, they are not credible. Long live your Stealth Account.

Before May of this year then yes they could have left you a negative even if you won the case but now they have actually have some half assed seller protection in place to prevent negs and low dsrs from people retaliating from lose bogus cases. Truthfully it was just a money saving bit from ebay so they don't have to comp refund people money lost. Now if they would return the power of leaving negative feedback to the seller....
