Default ebay dsr & other questions

On the eBay website it mentions something like you can get something like 2% or 3 low dsr's before your in trouble.

Am I understanding this correctly? So if you get 3 low dsrs per 100 sales you can be suspended?

Seems overly strict.

I don't think you get suspended but more like selling limits may decrease, category limits may decrease, more along those lines.

People rarely, in my experience, leave low DSR ratings. You have to be under one-half of 1% or better to get Top Rated status.

I have never had an account go over 1% bad DSR's. If you end up at 3%, either your product has a problem, or you should re-write your listing. Most people don't leave bad ratings like that unless they are really angry.

Default not selling on a account for a year

I know negative feedback drops off a account taking the score back up a year after it was added.

But what happens to dsr's? I know the low scores drop off after 12 months, but does that take the DSR score up or down?

For example if I never sold on a certain account for a year, after that year does my DSR score go down or back up to the maximum 5?

Hope this makes sense.

1 or 2 dsr's or more than 2% 1 or 2 DSR rating in any consecutive evaluation period. In my experience that's when your account gets in danger of getting restricted.

Default the key is not to trigger that in any 2 consecutive

months...for example, you can get 3 low dsr's a month as long as the number of DRS's is below 2% of number of transactions, or you can have more than 2% low DSR's as long as your total number of DSR's is two or below.

You will get a warning after the 1st month, then your selling limits will be cut after 2-3 months, and they will restrict your account some time after that.

I really did a through study of people I'm pretty sure left low dsr's and here's what I found. I sell $2-500 custom made items so people were generally quick to ding you with low dsr's.

Listing says ship in 5 days and ships in 7 = about 10x higher probability of low DSR's

Listing says ship in 10 days and ships in 7 = basically zero low dsr dings.

It is not that it is overly strict.

It usually means a seller is not doing their best to maintains the levels ebay wants.

Warnings are given. Up to the seller to do something about them.

Or take the consequences....

Keep in mind ebay demands perfection.
