Hello

Has anyone been wrongly linked to another user because your listing was selling a similar product and with a similar description?

I am selling a new product on a stealth account and I have noticed many sellers have roughly the same description as mine since it is all coming from the same manufacturer. The manufacturer provides the content of the listing.

I have reworded a few things here and there, but it is pretty similar. Besides the similar description, the listing is completely different: different condition of sales, payment, pictures, look & feel.

Any experience in this area? If I can save time by reusing a common stock description, I will be happy.

Is there any possible way to Re-arrange the product information so you stand out?

I don't know if it would link you with other sellers automatically. I have used these, but what I do is write a short - 2 or 3 sentences - description of my own, then I put in a line of text that says:

"This description has been provided by the manufacturer:"

and then the boilerplate text. Then shipping, payment, etc.

Thx. I try to stand out with better looking ads and pictures.

I have text of my own in the ad (a good 30%). I was just worried about a silly bot comparing ads and linking accounts randomly.

I also made sure that I host the images myself (even if manufacturer hosts images).
