Default Low DSR Description Question - Precentage gets higher and higher

Heres a question for the experts which neither any other forum, members, or ebay staff can actually explain.

The Scenario is this, 3 months ago an acct of mine went from Power Seller & Top Rated to "Below Standard. Apparently with the new DSR (detailed seller rating) Configuration, you are also rated on low scores i.e 1's and 2's, aside from the normal over all rating, which is a 4.80 in the area of "as described".

Since this issue I have no longer been selling "higher risk" items like electronics, have included the maximum photo allowance, as well as describing condition in the actual title of the listing. Since doing this my DSR problem percentage has actually gotten whose without actually occurring any low ratings (1's and 2's). The percentage rating went from a 1.15% to a now 1.63 percent (in 3 months). No low ratings have been added to the account and We have been adding transactions in those 3 months with at-least a 3-5 star rating on those who have left DSR scores for the transactions. Anyone have any ideas or clues about this? Any thought would be appreciated.

Ok, I had a bit of trouble understanding the question at first. DSRs are calculated on a 12 month basis. So if you have a bunch of transactions that are starting to go off the record that have high DSRs even though you keep getting good DSRs you may not be replacing those one expiring fast enough which could be driving up you numbers.

Not 100% sure about your situation, but based on what you described I would guess this is probably the case. Same thing can happen with Feedback percentage. Even though you keep getting positives if you have more feedback going off the 12 month record than you are getting to replace those it can make your percentage go down.

Welcome to the forums.

It seems like your buyers are somewhat dissatisfied. Need to work on that customer service and see what errors you are having in your business operations.

All the best.

Some buyer will nail you with very low DSRs and it takes a large number to average those very low DSRs out.

Also, do everything you can to communicate, ship fast etc to help get higher DSRS.

I think you must be getting low ratings from your buyers. A buyer can leave a positive feedback and still leave a 1 or 2 in the DSR field.

I do free shipping so that the shipping DSR cannot be entered by the buyers.

Unfortunately, the category most important to eBay is "Item as Described".

When you are on the DSR page, click on "See My Reports". From there, you can run a report and specify the time frame. The report will show you how many 1's and 2's you received in that time frame. I run these monthly.

Most sellers get some 1's and 2's, but 1.63% is fairly high. You need to figure out what the problem is and correct it, because if they keep getting higher they will draw eBay's attention and your account could even be suspended.
