Exclamation MC999 - new stealth account suspended

hey guys,

I used to sell maybe 10-20 things a week on a real ebay account but then I got laid off from my job and mother got sick and neglected my ebay account. 3-4 cases opened because I was late in shipping some things. I ended refunding all the buyers but this got my paypal and ebay account suspended for having too many cases open.

I am trying to sell on ebay again and followed the steps in stealth. Except my new stealth account got hit with a MC999 saying I needed call in 48 hours or they would suspend my account. I had listed 4 things on the new stealth account. I figured I had nothing to lose and called, and after calling they found out I was linked to my old account.

I was wondering what should I do:

1) My old real ebay account can be reinstated and I can start selling (according to the rep I talked to) after I pay off selling fees I still owe Ebay. However - should I do this - because my paypal that is linked to this ebay account is suspended still.

2) If I continue making stealth accounts - won't they all be hit with the MC999 - because when I called for my stealth account the ebay rep said that this is now a standard procedure they do to all new accounts. Will my new stealth accounts go through this every time?

3) I'm thinking about just buying some accounts off sellers here - will these be hit with the same MC999 and I'd have to call to verify info?

Thanks all

You were linked by a step in making an account.

About the payment -> The rep has lied to you. End of story with that part. They will NOT allow you to sell on that account ever again, Im afraid :( Once they get your money, its all over and they will sever ties with you.

You are selling too many items too fast and the account may be too young.

Some people can get away with listing right away, but its not always the case.

Purchasing an account from one of the sellers here will get you off on the right food. They will give you tips and tricks for a long lasting account (provided you do not follow the same methods as the previously banned account)

You should read the Stealth Book, read around the forum and re-read the Stealth Book :P

Good luck!

Thanks.

Another thing is - the new stealth accounts I am making are being hit with "0 selling limits for this month" so I can't list anything at all. This happened to my second stealth. Can someone please explain why? Most people here seem to start with 10 items a month.

Is your paypal VERIFIED with bank account? This happens a lot if you are trying to sell without a verified pp (one easy reason).

This happens when the PayPal account is not verified.

Much better for you to read heaps more and stop making new accounts. Otherwise you will have more troubles

Thanks, yes I was selling without a verified pp (have linked pp but didn't add bank info-. If I add or link a verified pp to this stealth can my limit automatically go up or is this account done and I should create new ones (wh verified PayPal)?

Thanks everyone. Really appreciate all your tips.

I have created new user accounts on xp for each eBay account, and tether my phone to get a new IP each time. I never use the same IP twice and hopefully with different windows accounts I am not sharing cookies.

Is the computer you are using hooked up to WI-FI?

Sometimes if you do not disconnect from WI-FI you will be running on both your WI-FI and the tethering device.

When you run IP burger, you will get the tethered IP.

Some how you got linked to your old account. Just trying to help you figure it out.

Maybe the pictures you used were the same from listing from your old account?

What about Stealth Information?

I know exactly what linked.. oh well you live and learn. Now I'm on my way to creating more stealth. Here's what I did wrong

1) used new name, same address
2) used same IP, did not create separate user accounts
3) used same pictures
4) didn't verify new paypal
5) listed within 1 day of getting account

for my new accounts I am creating here is what I am doing

1) new email, phone, personal info (diff name, diff address, etc)
2) use mobile tethering to get new IP (never repeat same IP)
3) created separate user accounts for all stealth accounts on windows XP
4) different pictures
5) sign up for ebay as a buyer -> verify and sign up for paypal first -> link up to ebay seller -> wait 3 days -> list 3 items to start

Does this look right? Am I skipping anything? Thanks

Lot of people wait more than 3 days (I myself like to browse and bid for 2-4 weeks before selling). Build some history and browse before you run into selling.

Your on the right path for stealth. welcome to the club. 2-4 wks is too long of wait. I listed within 2 days of opening a stealth seller account and have not verified PayPal to this date and im 3 months strong so far.

Just make sure to resolve cases without either party EVER having to escalate the claim to eBay to make final decision. A live rep reviews your account each time a case get escalated and they also take a deeper look into your account for your performance, feedback, active and sold listings etc and you will be hit with MC999 for something silly like Low DSR or Provide invoices and such

Thanks.

I made a stealth seller account without verifying my paypal and listed after 3 days. Within the same day as the the listings went up, I got the "verify your account, call us within 48 hours, listings removed"..

So the next stealth I made, I verified paypal first, then attached it to ebay, listed after 3 days, and I have not got the dreaded verification email yet..I also started all my items at $0.99.

that can happen for any stealth account. I had to call recently for an aged account (12 months old) after I listed my first item. It seems random.

You need to slow down , before anything verify your Paypal account , ebay likes to see this and dont just list 6 items right away and are they high risk??

You need patience create all your accounts , fully verify them and slow down, your first listing should be something low risk like a used book.

Your methods will never work, you need to read the stealth guide and understand and listen around the forum first

Had nothing to do with what the op listed, how much listed or what listed. It was the ip and same pics(meta data is a bitch.) + not verifying paypal. That brought him down by opening his new stealth right after getting banned(they checked your photos meta data and linked it to your freshly bounced account.). If you had more time lapse between open anew account the link most likely wouldn't have been made.

As far as getting your old account reinstated tell them to send you a letter(not an email) detailing what you need to do. If they won't then they were just blowing smoke up your arse.

Had this happen on an aged account yesterday night - not 12 months but was 4 months old - likely category related not completely random I would say.

Called in and simple questions, got it lifted

For my Canada and US accounts, the call in number to eB are both toll-free numbers so...I used Skype - was simple

One of the main reason to hit by mc999 on new account is to list item between 0.01 - 0.99
