Default Are limit increases more common in accounts created in April and June???

In my experience I have found that the majority of accounts to get limit raises takes high DSRs and selling to the limits and that 3-4 month range.

But then there's accounts that get raises from 7-9 weeks old and I have one account that just won't budge from 10/1000 and its One from my oldest group and I sell to limits high DSRs and even Paypal holds were lifted just 10 weeks in which is a great time for me but no ebay raise.

Now the accounts that took the Standard time 3-4 months selling to limits and high DSRs were created in the winter months or the first quarter of the year. Now the accounts I created in quarter2(April , may and June ) have been getting easier limit raises where most raises came with 1 or 0 feedback and only 1 or 2 items sold .

Besides the raises coming easier for me in accounts created in the 2 quarter I have also noticed these accounts I may have created sold one or two items than just put the account on the shelf for about 6 weeks and now that they are 2 months old I list my 10 item limit all auction and than so far and this happened on 3 accounts is log back in after a couple days and find some nice increases.

It happened again tonight on an account opened in may from 10 to 50 items and I only have 1 feedback and just sold 10 items.

I'm just trying to figure out the pattern for raises if any, has anyone else noticed such patterns???

I usually get automatic increases as soon as it hits 90days of being a seller

Tough to determine and give a 100% answer unless you are an analyst in the system - no steadfast rule on this - I have seen other accounts with no change in limits.

UK and USA have been quite lenient with their limit raising - Canada not so much

What I have noticed since April, accounts getting increased limits where none were expected.

Over the main selling platforms, (USA & UK), several users have had limits increased.

Just before the main selling season, I will look over these trends. More may be obvious to make determinations.

And I may have won the lottery

If you open up your accounts on an odd numbered day and the moon is full then you have a 50% chance of getting raises. J/K

Maybe EB has an electronic dartboard and whichever account gets hit gets a raise.

I have noticed raises being very abundant, but very sporadic.

I have a 2 April accounts that are at 20 and the rest of them are running between 50-100.

Yet I have 1 July account and after 1 week and 4 sales jumped to 50.

So who knows...I just see higher limits a a means to be more flexible with listings.

I did get an automatic increase from an account after first sale and after I marked the item as shipped. It felt good but random.

Ebay revenue tumbled recently due to bad economy. Probably VP of sales is beating up on VP of security telling him: let people sell more!

Yea I definitely think they adjust their profits and projections by raising limits when they needed, it's not all to just get our real info, ebay knows there's stealth sellers and if all the stealth sellers would be canned at once the company would take a hit

I just had 3 accounts that were made in the last 2 months....all 3 got limit raises from 10/$1,000
1. 50/$3,000
2.30/$4,200
3. 35/$2,500

All 3 had less than 10 positive feedbacks at the time of limit increases.

Really is a system automatic implementation - depends on hitting the limits and avoid risk detection (keeping low on the radar to increase credibility)

Called eBay futures. I could definately lean towards Dmshark's statement. Went from 10/1000 to 50/5000 in 20 days. No incredible sales history or anything.

I just got a secon raise on one account overnight from 20/2100 to 100/10,000 and on another 10/1000 to 50/5000, both accounts are under 2 months old and under 10 feedback

I was calling an eBay CSR to lift a selling restriction on a new stealth account.

After verifying account, she removed the restriction and without me asking, she increased my selling limits.

This might not be as simple as a systematic thing...I just think this eBay trying to increase its own sales as much as they can. If they lift limitations on sellers - even slightly, that would do it.

I got a random limit decrease to 10/1000 on an eB Canada account - 100% positive feedback, been open for 1 year time, no risky business - was oddly shocked.

Decrease? First I've heard of that! eBay is all about making money, not taking away from their own pockets. What is going on in the world!

I looked at the whole account - no issues, no complaints - I dont intend to call in and push but perhaps just an error? It was weird and unwarranted.

Definitely an odd one. I'm going to pack up and run if ebay ever goes into recession-mode :-)

They never will - well hopefully never - think I just had a weird unlucky thing - might have either tripped up flags or was supposed to be increased but got decreased

Why are you acting surprised?

You have often reminded users that ebay can ( and does) reduces limits?

You now have proof.

Another aged account just got a boost to 50/5000 after first buyer feedback posted

I started selling 3w ago on it.

Now seems the time to boost limits.
